Nice! @boltz_bio is on a roll, and true to the company’s open source roots, remains focused on putting access to the latest Boltz models in the hands of every scientist, all across entire pharma R&D orgs (Note this is distinct from narrowly scoped discovery partnerships, or collaborations based on delivering binders against a select few targets — such partnerships have their place too!) Core belief: AI models are best used by scientists inside an org who have intimate knowledge of the ‘hurdle’ to be solved for a given drug program, have access to all prior screening campaigns, are owning all downstream experimental data, and are seeing molecules advance against multiple targets side by side to prioritize resources / effort (and yes, token spend…) across programs Congrats @GabriCorso, @boltz_bio, and @GSK teams!
Today, we are excited to announce a major partnership with @GSK to deploy the latest Boltz models across GSK’s research organization!

Here's what Claude Science looks like with the default example projects (see vid). Some nice features in Claude Science: - connections for cloud compute options (e.g. connect to modal, nvidia, aws, etc.) - packed with default comp bio skills, such as skills for using boltz and esm - create agent specialists (comes with default reviewer specialist) - familiar claude cowork-like UI For those who like to change their model and effort levels (e.g. switch to the new Sonnet 5), you can do that in the settings under 'General'. Nice science tool, Anthropic 👍
So happy to share Claude Science with the world! One of the main ways AI can benefit the world is by accelerating rigorous scientific research, and Claude Science is our tool for doing it! Some bts of the design decisions that went into it...

Come work with us! We're hiring across research, engineering, and ops. We build evals to test whether agents can make drugs, and environments to help them get better when they can't. We work with frontier labs, have a high ownership culture, a slightly excessive espresso machine in our gorgeous Dogpatch office, are genuinely interested in both frontier ML and biochemistry research, did tarot at our offsite in Sea Ranch, and, well - we like each other. tacitlabs.co/join-us

Come work with us
we are hiring for a small number of high impact roles across research, engineering, and strategic ops at @tacitlabsco! come do the best work of your life with the best people you'll ever work with. we work together, in person, out of a beautiful office in Dogpatch. the culture here is high ownership and high-urgency. we keep the team intentionally small, meaning that each new person we bring on is n-of-1, with enormous scope and lots of room to run. we like people to be highly opinionated, technical, and a little bit weird. you'll work closely with our partners at the frontier labs, giving you ample exposure to research at the bleeding edge. send us an email with a couple lines about you, what you've worked on, and why you want to join - queuing up our first wave of interviews for next week!

If you're wondering why folks are up about bio, this is it. No hype, just transformative medicines designed with atomic precision. Personalized immunotherapies engineered in weeks. Cancer patients can't wait, and soon they won't have to. If you're not watching @nabla_ai, you MUST
New paper from the @nablabio team expanding generative drug design to multispecifics, the intracellular proteome, and pushing the limits of atomic precision. A tour de force of computation wet-lab and some incredible results, including zero-shot design of a KRAS G12V pMHC-targeting bispecific that recruits primary T-cells from human donors and achieves picomolar cell killing. Much more in our post and report

Life update: after an incredible year at Noetik, I’ve joined the OpenAI Foundation (@FoundationOAI) to help create its "Public Data for Health" program. The OpenAI Foundation is a well-capitalized philanthropy, and a meaningful share of its funds will be committed to building and opening up the datasets necessary to massively accelerate biomedical research. Some of our grants will go toward efforts to relieve known data bottlenecks, but others will be more speculative, made on the premise that artificial intelligence is currently reshaping how scientific discovery happens, and that this reshaping will surface fundamentally new data bottlenecks of its own. We have a long to-do list ahead of us, and I’m ecstatic to be joining @JacobTref on this effort! On writing: I’ve spent the last few years covering the intersection of AI with many, many subfields of the life sciences at owlposting.com, and it will continue remain independent. Many exciting essays and podcasts are planned! Lastly, I remain extremely optimistic on Noetik and am very thankful for my time there. Consider following @Ronalfa and @recursus to stay updated on their efforts!

These AI-designed antibody drugs by Nabla Bio look awesome! I am particularly excited about the antibodies to MHC-peptide and TCRs. I created the infographics below to explain what this means and why it is important.
Today, we expand zero-shot drug design beyond binding to the design of multifunctional medicines, the intracellular proteome, and state-of-the-art atomic precision with our model, JAM-2. In a new report (below), we show: 1. The first drug-grade, fully computationally designed multispecific antibodies against five peptide-MHCs: Routine picomolar T-cell activation/cell-killing EC50s, >100-fold selectivity, and drug-like developability 2. The first fully generatively designed, drug-grade dual-variant KRAS G12 multispecifics: They recruit primary T-cells from human donors to kill G12V and G12C presenting cells at pM to single-digit-nM potency, completely sparing wild-type. 3. Atomic accuracy, from sequence alone: Angstrom-level agreement between Cryo-EM and JAM-2 de novo designs, requiring only target sequences (not structure) as input. 4. Unrivaled speed with an AI-native in-house wet lab: Designed, built, and tested five programs in one parallelized campaign, end-to-end in-house in ~6 weeks. 5. A higher validation bar for AI-generated drug candidates: In a field increasingly rife with hype and uneven standards of proof, we provide the highest quality public wet-lab validation of AI-designed antibodies to date. We share experimental methods in full, and invite folks to adopt and build on these standards. Truly individualized therapies will be the most important contribution of AI in drug design. These advances help accelerate this future.
