Yesterday we announced the integration of Boltz with Claude Science. One thing I wanted to take a moment to highlight was the results we got from letting Claude drive the Boltz API end-to-end, so I wanted to give a bit more detail here. A thread! š§µ
What is scientific taste?
Tell us what you think in this 10-min Claude-led interview on how scientists choose problems, judge evidence, and decide what's worth doing.

Today @AnthropicAI released PubMed integration for Claude. No hallucinations. Just real science, real data. As a beta tester, this has been a game changerālike having a supercharged research assistant. Here are 6 prompts that will transform how you search the literature. A š§µ
Weāre building tools to support research in the life sciences, from early discovery through to commercialization.
With Claude for Life Sciences, weāve added connectors to scientific tools, Skills, and new partnerships to make Claude more useful for scientific work.
A scientist's guide to AI agents ā how could they help your research? @Nature

Enjoyed discussing this with @LizzieGibney. Great to see @ScientistTools featured, along with several ongoing projects in our group.
AI agents can accelerate discovery, but their true scientific value depends on how we evaluate and test them, an open challenge for the field
ā° Deadline extended to May 25th for GenAI and Biology workshop, considering multiple requests & NeurIPS deadline!
šRecent submissions to NeurIPS & other conferences/journals are welcome!

1/ The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative @cziscience is now hosting our AIDO.Cell-100M in its virtual cells platform. š§¬š¦
ALT A digital infographic titled āTranscriptome-Scale Cell Foundation Modelā visually explains the architecture and capabilities of AIDO.Cell-100M. On the left, four icons highlight model capabilities: pretraining on 50 million human cells, capturing both upregulated and repressed gene expression, modeling continuous single-cell expression, and enabling transfer learning for perturbation modeling. In the center, a magnified cell shows colorful DNA strands and intracellular components above a pastel tissue background, symbolizing the model's transcriptome-level understanding. On the right, a flowchart represents the data pipeline: gene context length of 20,000, hierarchical downsampling, gene embedding layer, and transformer models (10M, 100M, 650M parameters). The final box notes masked language modeling to predict high read-depth expression values. The bottom states: āModels the Whole Human Transcriptome Distribution Across 50 Million Cells.ā AIDO.Cell-100M by GenBio AI.
Big Network news! #CZBiohubSF#CZImagingInstitute will join forces to form a new Biohub aimed at developing groundbreaking imaging technologies to observe, measure, and understand biology like never before.

Itās been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). Iām reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS, indeterminate dendritic cell histiocytosis or other (non-LCH) histiocytic sarcomas cases.
I'm trying to understand non-surgical chemo and targeted therapy options, new pathology markers to better diagnose subtypes/treatments, and any data on progression in pediatric patients. Please feel free to share ā Iām trying to cast a wide net due to the rarity of this condition and how little is known.
People can contact me directly at my first name (as written in my profile) at octant.bio.
Very excited about this project as a model for partnership, opportunity to open up new fields of biology, and the provide critical data that advance models toward fundamental questions in cell biology. Stay tuned for progress!!!
āThe Billion Cells Project will help clarify our understanding of the fundamental biology underpinning human health disease while supercharging efforts at the intersection of AI & biology.ā - @JCoolScience

CZI recently announced an innovative new opportunity for GPU access. It's an exciting approach specifically aimed at supporting bold and ambitious problems that are bottlenecked on compute. Have a look and please apply or encourage others to do so! chanzuckerberg.com/rfa/ai-coā¦
The @humancellatlas package in @Nature is a bright spot for me as we move toward the end of the year. I'm late to the party and really enjoyed watching all the buzz last weekš! Congrats to all involvedš The weekend allowed reflection on a few personal areas of excitement š§µ1/6
5/6 the papers in the package on ethics and equity shared a lot of work and thinking on best practices that can be generalized. More focus on engagement and inclusion are necessary for robust science and paving the way for future collaboration models.
6/6 the future is š. Like great science efforts, the questions and technology opportunities outpace the immediate learnings. Looking across our grantee communities and internal roadmaps has me filled with excitement. Can't wait for the next waves of data, tech & models.
