The speed @bscholl got this into the store is just one small example of why I’m confident we’ll be able to buy tickets to fly on Overture very soon. Onward @boomsupersonic! 🦅🇺🇸✈️💪🏻
At the suggestion of @dasutherland, Boom is making beautiful America 250 Overture desktop models for $250. Order link below.

Happy 250th anniversary to the greatest country on Earth that is built on some of the most important ideas in human history: the individual rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Celebrate this revolutionary thought today and the ongoing pursuit of it!

Welcome home! Glad to see a perfect splash down and having everyone back home safe and sound after an epic journey. Nice work @NASA!
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶 The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.

Great news for Californians! At least twenty more years of clean, safe, and reliable power from Diablo Canyon.
#NRCNews:✅We've renewed the operating licenses of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant for an additional 20 years, marking the 99th and 100th renewed commercial reactor operating licenses. nrc.gov/sites/default/files/…

We built a new version called HIT-SIU (the one in the picture was called HIT-SI3) that used a toroidally connected manifold for doing helicity injection. Here are a few pictures of HIT-SIU being built, including the smaller cylinders that are plasma sources for fueling!

My team and I built the device in the left picture in Seattle. It no longer exists, but it is neither from Germany nor will be connected to the grid anytime soon. Spheromak-based magnetic confinement fusion is definitely still at “prototype” stage. But still worthy of study!
🚨: Germany’s new fusion reactor might power the entire planet by 2040, and it will soon be connected to the electrical grid.

Thanks for the awesome show @SpaceX! I’ve seen many rocket launches in my life growing up in Florida, but it truly never gets old. Seeing the booster come back down to drone ship was truly next level.

Looking forward to the day when I can see this myself. Incredible views @NASA!
We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.

Beautiful morning in DC! Lots of blossoms and kites.
Let's go fly a kite! A thousand streaks of color are flying above the Washington Monument grounds for the Blossom Kite Festival. Like cherry blossom petals caught on the breeze, the kites are drifting, diving, and dipping through the sky. It's fun for everyone! 🌸🪁🌸🪁🌸  #NationalMall #CherryBlossom #WashingtonDC

And we can do so much better on cost and schedule than we are doing now while still ensuring public health and safety. @NRCgov and various fission companies are making good progress towards this end, but there is so much more we can improve.
Nuclear power is a civilizational marshmallow test. They're complex projects and most of the cost of nuclear power is from initial financing... but after 20 years that's done, and you could still have 50 years of life left. Planting trees your grandchildren will sit under.

Whoever is running visualizations @NASA now deserves a raise!
41P likely originated in the Kuiper Belt, a collection of icy bodies beyond Neptune's orbit. The comet was then flung into its current trajectory by Jupiter’s gravity, now visiting our inner solar system every 5.4 years. Find out more: go.nasa.gov/4bLPEh5
