This Fourth of July, wake up early for a planetary surprise! Mars and Uranus will appear very close together before sunrise. To find them, look east—Mars will appear as a red “star” above the horizon. Uranus will be above Mars, but you’ll need binoculars or a telescope to see.

We're considering plans to send PROMISE—a Polar Rover for Observation, Mapping, and In-Situ Exploration—to the Moon. PROMISE builds on the technology and lessons learned from NASA's Curiosity and Perseverance rovers.
