Boom! We cracked it! Today we are introducing Boomless Cruise—supersonic flights up to 50% faster with no audible sonic boom. We quietly (har har) demo'd this on XB-1's first supersonic flight—three times actually. 🧵👇

People are dying in Kyiv because it takes Lockheed more two years to make a Patriot missile. Missile parts are made in hundreds of baby factories scattered across congressional districts. We have a Congressionally-optimized supply chain which can’t win a war.

It takes 400 companies >2 years to build a Patriot missile. Perhaps this is why USA suddenly gave up in Iran. Incompetent manufacturing will cause us to lose future wars too. Boom is building vertically integrated factories that can do in 24h what otherwise takes years. 🧵

The SR-71 had no onboard starter and was instead ground-started with 600hp of dual V8 Buick racing engines. Pretty cool solution to the cold start problem.

Flying Overture will be nicer than flying domestic first class—at 2x speed. We have ~60 seats in a bigger space than Concorde had 100. Plus taller ceilings, a boarding door 10" taller (1" taller than a 737). There will be a version with flatbeds for extra long flights too.
