i made a skill called /remove-ai-slop. inspired by emil’s review skill and cursor’s code quality skill, it’s for everyone who’s tired of the same AI slop tells in design and copy. you can grab it here: tushaarmehtaa.xyz/skill if it helps make your apps, websites, or landing pages a little less generic, give it a ⭐
Given how impressed I was with Cursor’s Thermo-Nuclear Code Quality Review skill, I decided to create a similar one, but specifically for animations. /review-animations to review, and /emil-design-eng to build animations. They complement each other well emilkowal.ski/skill

did the first chapter of @aiweekendsxyz in ahmedabad yesterday. something i wished existed back when i was in college. ahmedabad has a lot of events, but most either go unnoticed or are heavily paid. we never really had a proper stage for builders. i was in bangalore last month, attended one of the sessions, and instantly knew i wanted to bring this to ahmedabad. few weeks later, i texted @0xratnakar and @tushaarmehtaa asking if we could do it here. we got on a call the next day and planned the whole thing in a week. no idea where we’d do it, who’d show up, or how we’d manage it. but we did it anyway. and yes, “we”. huge help from @uiwithjay and @Bhartiyaanshul. for the first session, the response was honestly really good, especially considering we barely spoke about it online. people travelled from other cities for a 5-hour co-build session. some built web apps for themselves, some built things for their parents’ businesses. that was the best part. huge s/o to @rahulbhadoriiya for joining us and giving valuable feedback and motivation to everyone who attended. and we’re not stopping here. we want more builders to come together and build awesome things. so yeah, we’re bringing it again. more on this later lol. so stoked.

really really happy to see this become a reality. huge kudos to @0xratnakar, @saluja_ira, @takeiteasyUrvy and everyone else behind AI & Women. they knocked on every door, built in public, kept posting, saw rejections, and still made it happen, with or without the support we initially expected. there's a lot to learn from this first edition and that's exactly what firsts are for. hopefully this is the first of many, and i can't wait to help organize the next one once i'm back in India.

so excited for this!!!!
we’re bringing the first episode of @aiweekendsxyz to ahmedabad this sunday! been wanting something like this to happen here for a while now. 20 people in a room. a few hours to build with AI. demo what you made by the end. could be a small tool, an automation, a random experiment, anything. you don’t need to have a perfect idea. just show up curious and build something. since this is the first one in ahmedabad, we’re keeping it small and focused with only 20 seats. excited to see y’all! also big s/o to @0xratnakar and @tushaarmehtaa the OGs 🗣️ registration link below 🧵

went to the codex meetup in london last night and i was blown away by the programming, the infrastructure, and how thoughtfully everything was put together. they had 4 screens running in parallel. everyone took about 15 seconds to demo, and they had even built a custom tool just for demos. we’ve got amazing demos in bangalore too but the operations, efficiency, and attention to detail here were on another level. lots of notes on how we should run @aiweekendsxyz events back in india.

we started as a small experiment to bring people together to learn, build and explore ai. over the past few months, we've hosted sessions across cities, met incredible people, and built a community we never imagined. thank you to everyone who showed up, volunteered, shared the word, or simply believed in what we're building. we're genuinely grateful. now it's time for the next step. we want to bring @aiweekendsxyz to more cities. if you'd like to host, organize, or help build a local chapter in your city, we'd love to work with you. just shoot me at priyanshu@ratnakar.xyz // priyanshu@aiweekends.xyz

okay, time to risk it all either the risk ends, or it all does. - left their hometown ✅ - lived alone ✅ - run a marathon ✅ - risked it all ❌ - hit rock bottom ❌ - learned to cook ✅ - overcome an addiction ✅ - changed career ✅ - been punched ✅ - fallen in love ✅ - had their heart broken ✅
before 30, every man should have; - left their hometown - lived alone - run a marathon - risked it all - hit rock bottom - learned to cook - overcome an addiction - changed career - been punched - fallen in love - had their heart broken

a few months ago i posted about something that had been bugging me. 5 out of 35 on a good day was our women ratio at @aiweekendsxyz since then something changed and 20% women showing up consistently. they build. they demo they bring their friends too. so next week we're taking the next step. ai & women. 5th july. bengaluru. meet women.aiweekends.xyz a room designed so nobody has to do a mental scan before walking in. tag someone you think should be in this room or you would like to see there on panel.

as desperate as it may feel, following up is just as important as reaching out. following up has helped me: > get paid for work i’d done > close deals that felt impossible at first > convert paying users for bangersonly.xyz people are busy. follow up.
