did the first chapter of
@aiweekendsxyz in ahmedabad yesterday.
something i wished existed back when i was in college.
ahmedabad has a lot of events, but most either go unnoticed or are heavily paid. we never really had a proper stage for builders.
i was in bangalore last month, attended one of the sessions, and instantly knew i wanted to bring this to ahmedabad.
few weeks later, i texted
@0xratnakar and
@tushaarmehtaa asking if we could do it here. we got on a call the next day and planned the whole thing in a week.
no idea where we’d do it, who’d show up, or how we’d manage it.
but we did it anyway.
and yes, “we”. huge help from
@uiwithjay and
@Bhartiyaanshul.
for the first session, the response was honestly really good, especially considering we barely spoke about it online.
people travelled from other cities for a 5-hour co-build session. some built web apps for themselves, some built things for their parents’ businesses.
that was the best part.
