The relative silence about the clemency for Ronaldoโ€™s redcard (which was awarded fairly) when compared to Balogunโ€™s redcard (which was not awarded fairly) speaks volumes about their values
Such a spectacle to see all these euro soccer journalists and federations climb atop a moral high horse to say the integrity of the game demands that an incorrect call, enforced by an incorrect application of VAR, deprive the U.S. of a full squad.

Imagine this... thid shows you how blatantly corrupt that desicion was to overturn that redcard
Red cards are not overturned by political phone calls. They are overturned by rules, evidence and independent bodies. If a U.S. President intervenes with the FIFA President โ€” and a player is suddenly cleared before a World Cup knockout match โ€” the question is unavoidable: Quo vadis, FIFA? Football must never become a playground for political power. #FIFA #WorldCup #GianniInfantino #DonaldTrump

Well I think FIFAs rules had contradictory language because they do say they have discretion on โ€œanyโ€ disciplinary action and this precedent helped better establish that โ€œanyโ€ does include redcard automatic suspensions. Seems right to me if the redcard was not correct call

Trump stepping in to overturn #Balogun's red card is the furthest I've seen him go to help someone that he'd normally want deported since he fucked Melania. #Fifa #Corrupt #WorldCup #RedCard

And @fifamedia @FIFAcom will not even look at this issues. My theory is that Trump was involved in that Balogun redcard issue. Watch the USA vs Belgium game tomorrow morning, then you'll see that our Football is really captured.
