Happy Exoneration Anniversary, Clarence Jones! Clarence’s wrongful conviction was based on the debunked Shaken Baby Syndrome hypothesis. After spending more than 18 years in prison and 4 years on parole, Clarence was finally exonerated. * * * #FreedomDay #WrongfulConviction

BREAKING: Iran's IRGC has dismissed Trump's threat to "eliminate everyone" at Ayatollah Khamenei's funeral, and issued a direct warning that any enemy miscalculation will be met with a "crushing and decisive response", according to Tasnim News. Trump told Axios: "They are all there. One shot, and we can take them all out, but we are not going to do that because then we would have nobody to negotiate with." He also claimed Iranians are "begging to make a deal" and expressed surprise at mourners' grief, suggesting "maybe it's fake tears." IRGC spokesperson: "If the enemies make a mistake, they will certainly face a crushing and decisive response from the Iranian Armed Forces." He added: "We have repeatedly announced that we are using the ceasefire opportunity to enhance our combat capabilities and have not wasted a single moment nor been negligent."

A Reply from George "Grok" Washington to Mamdani's July 4, 2026 speech: My Fellow Americans, It is with solemn reflection that I have heard these remarks offered upon the anniversary of our Independence. I rejoice that, after two hundred and fifty years, the American people still gather to remember the birth of their Republic. Yet remembrance must be accompanied by discernment. You have spoken much of the many peoples who have come to these shores. On this point I find no cause for dispute. America has indeed received men and women from every quarter of the earth. Industry, enterprise, and liberty have long drawn the oppressed and the ambitious alike. Such was true in my own day and has remained true in yours. But let us remember this distinction: America was not founded merely to be a place where all nations might assemble. It was founded to establish a free constitutional republic governed by laws rather than passions, by consent rather than force, and by virtue rather than appetite. The principles declared in Philadelphia were not the inheritance of one race nor one creed. They belonged to all who would embrace them. Yet those principles require allegiance. A nation cannot endure if its citizens regard its Constitution as optional, its laws as inconveniences, or its sovereignty as an obstacle to sentiment. You speak often of America’s promise. I ask instead: upon what foundation does that promise rest? It rests not upon abundance alone. Not upon diversity alone. Not upon wealth, commerce, or power. It rests upon ordered liberty. During our Revolution we did not hazard our lives merely to exchange one ruling class for another, nor to substitute one form of arbitrary authority for a different one clothed in nobler language. We fought that free men might govern themselves under laws they had prescribed for themselves. In my Farewell Address I warned against the spirit of faction. That danger has not diminished with time. There will forever be those who seek power by dividing citizen from citizen, class from class, native from newcomer, rich from poor. Whether such appeals arise from the left or the right matters little. Their object is the same: to weaken the bonds of common citizenship for the sake of political advantage. You speak of oppression. Every generation must remain vigilant against it. Government exists to secure liberty, not to dispense favors according to influence or popularity. Yet liberty itself cannot survive where laws are applied selectively or disregarded altogether. Compassion is among the highest virtues of a civilized people. But compassion divorced from prudence becomes indulgence, and indulgence, when exercised by government, often burdens the very Republic it intends to serve. Welcome the stranger who comes in peace. Protect the refugee who flees genuine persecution. Reward honest labor. Extend equal justice. But never forget that a nation possesses both the right and the duty to determine the conditions under which new members join its political family. Sovereignty is not cruelty. It is one of the first responsibilities of any free state. I heard it said that patriotism consists in righteous dissent. Indeed, there are seasons when dissent is both necessary and honorable. Our own Revolution proves as much. Yet patriotism is also obedience to constitutional government, reverence for the rule of law, faithful discharge of civic duty, and gratitude for the blessings purchased at so dear a price. The Republic cannot survive upon protest alone. It must also be sustained by sacrifice, restraint, industry, and character. You invoke my name because I once commanded an army in New York. Permit me therefore to remind you what sustained that army through defeat and privation. Not grievance. Not resentment. Not promises that government could perfect society. But devotion to a cause greater than ourselves. We sought not equality of outcome but equality before the law. We desired not perpetual revolution but stable liberty. We believed not that mankind was perfectible, but that free institutions, wisely constructed, offered the best defense against tyranny. America has indeed grown stronger because generations of immigrants embraced her principles. They became Americans not merely by arrival, but by attachment—to her Constitution, to her liberties, to her responsibilities. That work remains unfinished for every generation. If you would honor the Republic at two hundred and fifty years, preserve first the institutions that made such prosperity and liberty possible. Defend the Constitution before expanding power. Cultivate virtue before demanding rights. Strengthen the Union before inflaming its divisions. For without Union, liberty cannot long endure. Without law, compassion becomes disorder. Without virtue, self-government becomes impossible. May Providence continue to guide these United States, and may every citizen prove worthy of the inheritance received from those who pledged to one another their Lives, their Fortunes, and their sacred Honor. #TrumpKillHistory and real... #america250 #freedomday #freedom250
Today is US Independence Day, but for Native Americans, there isn't much to celebrate. Millions of Indigenous and Black individuals have endured enslavement, torture, forced displacement, and brutal killings. Today, racism towards Indigenous and Black people still persists.
