Wanted to chime in on this. I cover normal games from time to time because itβs what I want to do. I believe itβs important to keep the YOU in YouTube. Normally itβs a bad decision in terms of views, but there have also been plenty of times my flat screen reviews have outperformed or at least performed the same as real vr games on my channel. My issue is I canβt get access to the bigger flat screen games pre-launch so I really donβt know how my flat screen reviews would perform realistically against the guys who get access early. Time will tell. For me, YouTube is my outlet. Virtual Reality is what made me upload in the first place, not because I wanted to be a YouTuber, I just wanted an outlet for people who are like minded. Bottom line is if all vr has to offer me is games Iβm not interested in, it means I donβt want to play them myself anyway. So I go with my heart.
You know the VR scene is struggling when more and more VR YouTubers are covering flat games just to stay afloat. Tough times out there.
