So I'm watching my first anime thing in ages (research for a project). Netflix Blame movie. I have to ask. Why does everyone talk in anime dubs like someone who has just learned how to talk in complete sentences recently? Every single line is stilted and oddly delivered.

*Always has been meme* Video games are an outgrowth/evolution of Gambling Machines. Pinball, Pachinko, Shooting Galleries, Carnival games, etc. That art has managed to exist on tiny islands amidst the unbroken chain of exploitation techniques is kind of amazing actually.

Video games have pioneered so many terrible things in society. Games pioneered online subscription and now everything is behind one. Games pioneered micro-transactions and lootboxes and now so many aspects of life have been gamified. No one owns anything thanks to gaming

It seems YouTube removed dislike counts on the studio end. Not even the creator of the video can see the dislike count. This button is now officially completely useless.

The only physical games I own are a collector's edition Disco Elysium box, and a PSVR2 game given to me by the dev of it. Prior to that I think the prior physical game I owned was Baldur's Gate 2 on cd in 2002.

I understand like on just a pure conceptual and "you'll own nothing" level that sony ramping down physical production feels bad but am I the only person on earth who has seen the inside of a store in the last 10 years? Have you been to gamestop? Lol
