You know the VR scene is struggling when more and more VR YouTubers are covering flat games just to stay afloat. Tough times out there.

Throwback to one of the first VR events I attended back in 2014. Over a decade in the scene and it still feels like we're just getting started. I've always believed that getting people excited about XR is a marathon and not a sprint. Honestly, the last decade was just a warm-up. The next era of spatial computing is going to be something truly special.

I spent some time with Meta's new smart glasses created in collaboration with Kylie Jenner. Are they actually worth the hype? Here's my unfiltered review: youtu.be/oiJTMHUVcG0

People who say VR gaming is dead should come to VidCon. Gorilla Tag and YouTuber Jmancurly have taken over the show with a huge event. The kids you see here are the next generation of VR users.

It's fascinating to see some of the wild comparisons consumers make between completely different types of XR hardware from smart glasses to spatial computers. And honestly, you can't really blame them. The terminology alone can be confusing enough. That said, it also feels like companies benefit from keeping things vague because people end up making comparisons that play in their favor. In the process, consumers end up with a skewed view of where XR is today, what products are actually for them and where the wearable tech is headed.

Interesting how Meta's new Starfire smart glasses designed by Kylie Jenner look very similar to the ones Google recently unveiled with Gentle Monster. Competition is heating up.
