when you’re 10, your big brother @justoutquan is the maniac coding in the dark, insisting that you too need to learn. you’re the artsy child painting in the other room, uninterested in his rigid logic. his world and yours don't touch, and you certainly don't think you're chasing the same thing
when you’re 15, he’s showing you a productivity tool he built, and you have to be the one to look him in the eye and tell him this ain’t it
and for the next few years, you watch him cycle through eight or nine pivots in a relentless pursuit of pmf—dutifully serving your sentence as user #1 every single time. it’s a chaotic loop of trying and failing, but you see justin’s madness has a slope
when you’re 20, his thing starts working—it's @tomo, and it's serving tens of thousands of people. and this time you're not in the other room. you're coding now, bringing your own designs to life as you help him launch Tomo to the world
i’ve been working at @hardlaunching for the last year now, and i’ve developed the muscle for helping founders swing bigger and harder than ever before. but the greatest beast i've ever taken on (and the greatest joy and privilege) is launching my own brother's company.
and it turns out our two worlds were never that far apart. i started designing as my way of bringing delight and joy into a world that’s often unforgiving. I realize now that tomo is exactly that for justin and the rest of the team. congrats @justoutquan @raymondhechen @nairvarun18 @jessejameslu @randyperecman and welcome to the world @tomo

It's been 3 years since AI exploded, but nobody's life has improved outside of Silicon Valley.
Tomo is for real humans, like my little brother Lucas
and 10,000 other humans taking a chance on themselves every single day.
