my 7th great grandfather fought in the revolutionary war. at 16 years old, he picked up the family musket, and went on to fight for the freedom we still enjoy 250 years later. there are countless identical accounts i have heard of, and in our modern age it’s important to remember that young men can shape a new and better future- when given the agency to do so

Cap spending, ration care, kill innovation, end up like Europe 2. Further cripple employers with healthcare costs (or shift costs on to patients and cripple families) 3. Embrace clinical AI and grow productivity Which way, America? I don't think we can expand provider supply to find a way out of this. Setting aside the challenges of expanding training: other parts of the economy are growing productivity faster than medicine; for the skill required many physicians simply aren't paid enough, and medical training is too expensive. Item 3 isn't exclusive. You can pair that with CON law loosening, reforming physician ownership rules, continuing the anti-fraud push, site neutral payments, etc. The goal is to get the physics of American healthcare pointed towards productivity growth.

I spent the past few months scurrying across America with one question in mind: is reindustrialization real? Through the lens of @MicronTech, I think I've found an answer. What kind of America do you want your kids to grow up in? One where they can point to things in their everyday lives and be proud that we built them? Or one where they can’t buy a car if another country decides they aren’t happy with us? Reindustrialize or die.

Every Nixon clip I see almost brings me to tears. The guy had an insane storytelling ability, and you can tell it came right from the soul. This is not something you can fake either. We could really use more of this in our current paradigm. Very powerful.
