“For fast-acting relief, try slowing down.” – Lily Tomlin
Frustration narrows our vision and tightens our body. Aikido teaches us that our breath is the bridge back to center. When breathing becomes steady, possibilities begin to return.
I have discovered that most frustration is not caused by circumstances alone but by resisting them. One slow breath has often accomplished more than ten hurried reactions. It doesn't remove the challenge, but it changes how I meet it.
Frustration is often an invitation to slow down.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗞𝗶? Impatience. Holding your breath. Reacting before centering yourself.
𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: The next time frustration appears today, pause and take three slow, full breaths before responding.
