Now BJP has set a template for gaming elections - gerrymandering in Assam, SIR in Bengal, polarisation everywhere, breaking up parties, unleashing govt agencies against opponents, compromised institutions. Given the opportunity, how can any party resist the temptation of following the same playbook to grab and consolidate power? Elections may never be free and fair now. #RIPDemocracy This is why it's important not to celebrate such bad precedents as 'masterstroke' and 'chanakyaneeti'.
