47 days until #Actuate26! Excited to have Guillaume Doisy, VP of Autonomous Systems at @dexoryHQ, as a speaker this year! A PhD roboticist and core contributor to the ROS 2 Navigation2 stack, Guillaume previously served as Chief Robotics Officer at AMR startup Wyca before joining Dexory to lead the autonomy systems behind their warehouse scanning robots. Dexory's autonomous robots scan warehouse racks up to 60 feet tall without GPS or infrastructure modifications, feeding a live digital twin of operations in real time — and have raised $165M Series C to scale across global logistics customers. Space for this year's Actuate is limited. Get your tickets to hear Guillaume, and 20 other technical experts in autonomous robotics, share their challenges & breakthroughs on stage: hubs.li/Q04mFPjT0

49 days until #Actuate26! Excited to have @theo_gervet, Co-Founder at @gs_ai_, as a speaker this year! A former research scientist at Mistral AI with a PhD from CMU, Theophile co-founded Genesis AI to build full-stack generalist robots from the ground up, including their own dexterous robotic hand, data collection glove, and foundation model. Genesis launched out of stealth with $105M in seed funding and recently unveiled GENE-26.5, a robotic brain capable of multi-step dexterous tasks like cooking full meals, pipetting in labs, and solving a Rubik's cube at human-level speed. Space for this year's Actuate is limited. Get your tickets to hear Theophile, and 20 other technical experts in autonomous robotics, share their challenges & breakthroughs on stage: hubs.li/Q04n3Cr50

50 days until #Actuate26! Excited to have @kevinmpeterson1, Co-Founder & CTO at @BedrockRobotics, as a speaker this year! Kevin spent over two decades building self-driving cars and led perception for Waymo's autonomous trucking division before co-founding Bedrock to bring the same autonomy technology to construction equipment. Bedrock retrofits existing machinery like excavators to enable full self-operating capabilities, and has raised $350M to tackle a construction industry where productivity has barely improved in decades. Space for this year's Actuate is limited. Get your tickets to hear Kevin, and 20 other technical experts in autonomous robotics, share their challenges & breakthroughs on stage: hubs.li/Q04mGdzz0

Another post @kamathsblog! In this blog, he published a detailed walkthrough on adding autonomous navigation to the @huggingface LeKiwi robot using Nav2 and ROS 2, visualized entirely through Foxglove. LeKiwi is an open-source holonomic platform, and this post covers the full stack from sensor prerequisites to sending navigation goals on a live map. The implementation includes LiDAR angular filtering with laser_filters to remove a pan-tilt camera obstruction, SLAM-based mapping with slam_toolbox in async mode, and a choice between two localization methods: slam_toolbox's built-in pose graph localization or AMCL with a particle filter. For navigation, Aditya went with an MPPI controller configured for an omnidirectional base and a SMAC 2D planner. He also wrote a small twist_switch_node to toggle cleanly between teleop and Nav2 velocity commands via a controller button — a neat practical touch. It's a good reference if you're setting up Nav2 on a non-differential drive platform. Blog post: hubs.li/Q04lcrkk0

"It's not just for beans, you have to do this for trillions of ingredients, zero-shot. It's a way harder problem than meets the eye." My interview with @RajatBhageria, founder and CEO of @ChefRobotics is live! Chef is tackling one of the hardest categories in robotics: food production. It’s messy, variable, physical, operationally intense, and full of edge cases. Exactly the kind of environment where the best robotics teams build the data flywheel that makes robot data actionable to improve autonomy and scale. I really enjoyed this discussion - thinking about starting a series of in-person founder interviews like this. Let me know in the comments if you enjoyed it, and who should I speak to next?

For teams debugging robot incidents after the fact, one of the hardest questions is: what was this device's configuration when it failed? Foxglove now tracks the full history of device property changes over time, turning device metadata from a static label into a queryable timeline. Every change to a device property — whether made through the UI or via the API — is recorded with a timestamp. Teams can see exactly when a device moved from staging to production, how long a feature flag was active, or what configuration was running during a specific incident window. The history is editable: incorrect records can be corrected inline, and missed transitions can be backfilled. The existing Foxglove query syntax works against historical values, so filtering on past state uses the same patterns teams already know. For organizations correlating fleet behavior with configuration changes, this removes the manual reconstruction step that typically follows an unexpected event.
