Advancing through the China Nala Axis, they overcame fierce enemy resistance in a meticulously coordinated operation, capturing Bump-II, Bump-III and Kalapathar by 07 Jul 1999. During the battle, the Gunners of 4 Field Regiment, 15 Field Regiment, 141 Field Regiment, 255 Field Regiment and 212 Rocket Regiment delivered relentless and accurate fire, devastating enemy defences across the Jubar heights and paving the way for the Infantry assault. The capture of these dominating features shattered the enemy's defensive posture, with Bump-III serving as the Firm Base for the subsequent assaults on Tharu, Kukarthang and Bump-I. #KVD2026 Grenadier Yogendra Singh Yadav Grenadiers During the Kargil War, Grenadier Yogendra Singh Yadav was part of 18 Grenadiers Ghatak Platoon tasked to capture #TigerHill. Despite sustaining grievous injuries and losing his team commander and two comrades to enemy fire, he fought on, neutralised four enemy soldiers and inspired his platoon to capture the objective.
