President Trump just brought Pearl Harbor survivor Captain Ken Schubring on stage to salute the flag that went down on the USS Arizona but was raised again with the help of great patriots. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

As America celebrates 250 years of freedom, over 4,000 National Guardsmen from 15 states are supporting the festivities in Washington, D.C. These Guardsmen are providing event security, medical support, patrolling throughout the city, and handing out free water to visitors. Thank you to our great National Guard!

Today, with all Americans, I take the deepest pride in marking the 250th anniversary of our great country's independence. Our struggle for independence truly was what George Washington called the "glorious cause." On this July 4th, we can take equal pride that the Great Republic that founding generation established not only has a noble past, but continues to rise to ever greater heights.

CQ Brown’s op-ed is the hypocritical parting shot of a fired officer who served as a loyal foot soldier for one of the most politicized eras in U.S. military history. Under the prior administration, Brown helped champion divisive COVID-19 vaccine mandates that purged thousands of capable service members, stood by as mandatory DEI ideology trainings were established that elevated identity over merit, and was silent when “extremism” stand-downs that functioned as witch hunts against conservatives took place. These actions eroded readiness, morale, and trust while turning the Pentagon into a vehicle for social engineering. For him to now decry politicization rings hollow. Secretary Hegseth has restored an apolitical warrior ethos by eliminating DEI bureaucracies, refocusing leaders on lethality and standards, and empowering commanders to prioritize combat excellence over ideology, delivering the merit-based, mission-focused military our nation demands.

America will never be dependent on foreign adversaries for critical warfighting materials. Through President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill signed into law last year, we are injecting $7 Billion into our critical minerals supply chains and stockpiles via the Industrial Base Fund. We are securing our resources and ensuring our military supply chains are 100% American-made. Reconciliation 3.0 will supercharge American innovation and guarantee that our troops always have the sovereign, battle-ready materials they need to deter and defeat any threat. This is not optional. It is essential to maintaining American military dominance and keeping our nation safe.

A strong military begins with a strong industrial base. Investing in our Armed Forces isn’t just about today’s readiness it’s about ensuring America can deter future threats, respond to crises, and maintain the capacity to produce the ships, aircraft, munitions, and technology our warfighters need. Peace through strength begins with the ability to build, sustain, and, when called upon prevail with overwhelming combat power. It is our duty to ensure America’s service members are the best led, best trained, and best equipped fighting force in the world. When we fulfill that responsibility, our service members will do what they have always done: close with and defeat the enemy, accomplish the mission, and defend our nation with courage, discipline, and resolve.

On July 4th, 2025, the One Big Beautiful Bill delivered what our warfighters deserve: A bigger, stronger, and better-equipped military to defend America’s interests around the globe.
