TESTIMONIAL THURSDAY Papo Sanitar is a private company founded by 31-year-old Jack Papo, who used his personal savings to buy equipment in 2017. This business evolved from a small venture into a substantial factory that manufactures cleaning detergents and employs youth. The business’s manufactured cleaning detergents are thereafter supplied to individual customers, fast-food outlets, and various companies. The business was operating on a smaller scale due to a lack of stock. As a result, Jack Papo applied and received financial support of R49,970.53 from the Limpopo Youth Fund to purchase raw materials. The Limpopo Youth Fund is a joint initiative between the Limpopo Provincial Government and NYDA, designed to support youth-owned small businesses. With support received, Jack has strengthened his business operations, enhanced client management systems, and successfully expanded his market reach. This growth has enabled the business to establish a stable customer base, securing recurring monthly supply agreements with several local enterprises and professional service providers. The business has also secured subcontracting opportunities to supply products to public healthcare facilities across the Mopani District, demonstrating its growing capacity to participate in larger supply chains and service delivery networks. #NYDA #TestimonialThursday #Funding #YouthMonth #Limpopo #Venda #SouthAfrica

TESTIMONIAL THURSDAY Khomotso Moko founded SHI Organics after experiencing challenges in finding moisture-rich products suitable for natural African hair. This inspired her to develop her own range of hair care products, which today includes hair butter, hair oil, beard oil, and hair serum. In addition to manufacturing hair products, the business offers a variety of beauty services, including weave installation, lash extensions, natural hair treatments, weave revamps, and eyebrow tinting. She received the NYDA Grant of R48,741.57, which enabled her to purchase stock and equipment, cover rental costs, and create employment. SHI Organics currently has five employees, including the owner. The business has experienced significant growth and diversification. The expansion has enabled the introduction of new spa, wellness, and beauty services, broadening the business offering and attracting a wider client base. Services now include body massages, facials, nail and lash treatments, tattoo services (including removal, permanent, temporary, and 3D tattoos), as well as a range of piercing services. The growth of the enterprise has also led to the rental of additional business space, thereby increasing its operational capacity and improving service delivery to clients. Furthermore, the business has expanded into skills development by offering beauty training programmes that create opportunities for aspiring beauty professionals to gain industry-relevant knowledge and experience. #NYDA #TestimonialThursday #Funding #YouthMonth #Limpopo #Venda #SouthAfrica

TESTIMONIAL THURSDAY! Multiwise Enterprise (Pty) Ltd is a registered upholstery repair and furniture-making business operated by Tshegofatso Calven Motsemme, based in Klerksdorp, Jouberton. The business was established in 2018 and operates from home. Tshegofatso was taught how to repair upholstery by his father. He covers both leather and fabric couches, chairs, and car seats. Since its inception, the business has received overwhelming support from community members, and this support has sustained it to date. Most of Tshegofatso’s clients know him through word of mouth or social media. As the business continues to grow, he has been experimenting with the manufacturing of headboards. This part of the business is also steadily gaining momentum. Tshego is planning to expand the business into manufacturing contemporary, low-cost furniture, targeting people building houses around new residential sites. He has received NYDA Grant support of R 49,750.00 to buy the much-needed equipment and materials to meet the demand from his clients. #NYDA #TestimonialThursday #Funding #YouthMonth #Limpopo #Venda #SouthAfrica

TESTIMONIAL THURSDAY Tumishang Seshoka from Moleketla Village in Bolobedu South, Limpopo, is a driven young entrepreneur whose passion for sewing began at an early age. In 2019, she received R48,000 in NYDA funding under Threshold 2, which enabled her to purchase sewing machines and expand her operations. The Director of Satumo Trading today leads a growing business that employs more than 25 people and supports skills development through a partnership with Services SETA, in which 15 learners gain practical workplace experience in the textile and manufacturing sector. Her garment manufacturing business has evolved into a diversified enterprise offering branding and marketing services, including printing, vehicle branding, gazebo branding, facility branding, and landmark board production. This diversification has strengthened the company's market presence and unlocked new revenue streams. Satumo Trading has secured contracts with schools for uniform production, as well as organisations such as LoveLife and the local municipality for EPWP uniforms and branding services. The business now generates a turnover exceeding R900,000 per month, reflecting its remarkable growth and sustainability. Tumishang is currently constructing a 1,500-square-metre workshop in Ventopark that will house a sewing factory, a branding production space, a showroom, and a skills development training centre. The expansion is expected to increase production capacity while creating more opportunities for young people to acquire practical skills. To further improve efficiency and reduce operational costs, she plans to employ five additional staff members with repair and maintenance expertise, bringing critical machinery servicing functions in-house and strengthening the business's long-term sustainability. #NYDA #TestimonialThursday #Funding #YouthMonth #Limpopo #Venda #SouthAfrica
