Last week, i carried out field visits in Buwama, Kalungu, Masaka, Lwengo, Lyantonde, Mbarara and Isingiro. I noted great progress towards completion of capital projects, specifically, Kalungu water plant at R. Katonga, water supply improvement project in Lwengo and Kagera WTP.

I learnt of the assassination attempt on His Excellency Donald Trump's life on Saturday, July 13, 2024, during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. On behalf of the Government and people of Uganda, and on my own behalf, I wish to convey our deep and heartfelt sympathies to His Excellency. At the same time, I condemn this despicable and cowardly assassination attempt that put his life and that of his supporters at risk. I also extend my deepest condolences to the family that lost their loved one. As freedom fighters and peace-lovers, we condemn political violence because it threatens democracy wherever it manifests. I wish His Excellency and all those injured a speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Today I paid a courtesy visit to the NWSC MD Dr. Eng Silver Mugisha @NWSCMD I applaud his tireless efforts towards service acceleration in Uganda. Furthermore, we discussed #Water4All in Mawogola North, Sembabule Good things are in the pipeline for our people in Mawogola North.

I would like to thank the Government of Egypt and particularly the Egyptian Armed Forces for the quick response to our request for FMD vaccines. The 3 million vaccines we received yesterday at a low price is only the first consignment. More will be coming soon. I thank Egypt for its spirit of brotherly cooperation.

We have unveiled eight modern toilets in a bid to improve sanitation services across the city. These new facilities were constructed under the Kampala Water-Lake Victoria Water and Sanitation Project (KW-LVWATSAN) implemented by the @nwscug.
