#OnThisDay: The signing of the #CivilRightsAct sixty-two years ago today also coincided with LBJ’s youngest daughter Luci’s 17th birthday. 🥳 According to LBJ’s daily diary, Luci cut her birthday cake at 4:30 PM—just a few hours before the Civil Rights Act was signed at 6:45 PM.
