More tariffs on Canada from China while the US says no to extending current CUSMA without negotiated changes
"It was not a good week for Canadian foreign policy. CUSMA is now under review, creating significant uncertainty, while China has imposed steep tariffs on Canadian pea starch. Our relationships with the world's two largest economies are clearly not improving."

When Pierre is PM I am nominating you for the Order of Canada award. In addition I will speak with President Trump to award you with the Congressional Medal of Honour!! Just saying!!
The evening at the U.S. Ambassador's residence in Ottawa was exceptional. Many prominent Canadians were in attendance, including a former Governor General, a Canadian astronaut, and influential voices from across the political spectrum. Intentionally not naming anyone to spare them from the inevitable trolls.

🗞️ SQUIRRELLY NEWS REPORT @puffingtonpete2 – We the People are the Media Now 🐿️ Dr. Sylvain Charlebois (@FoodProfessor) pushed back on a Warren Kinsella column claiming America is failing under President Trump. He argued that while people can have opinions, the economic data tells a more nuanced story and it’s worth looking at the numbers instead of just the narrative. Squirrelly take: This is the problem with a lot of commentary right now — it’s driven by hatred of Trump rather than actual results. Kinsella’s piece appears to be another example of emotional, anti-Trump writing that ignores hard data on the economy, jobs, energy, and growth. Meanwhile, Canada under its current leadership continues to struggle with affordability, high debt, weak productivity, and declining living standards. When Canadian commentators lecture Americans about how bad things are in the U.S. while their own country is in rough shape, it comes across as projection more than analysis. Facts don’t care about feelings — or political grudges. Canada and the United States both celebrated their birthdays this week. Warren Kinsella, a columnist with the Toronto Sun, argues that America is failing under President Trump. You can agree or disagree with that view, but the economic data tells a more nuanced story. It's always worth looking at the numbers before embracing the narrative.

As Prime Minister Carney said a few weeks ago in New York City, Canada can help Make America Great Again by strengthening our relationship with our closest ally. It was a pleasure spending time with U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra and his family. Happy 250th, America! 🇺🇸🇨🇦

People with money make bets via their after tax dollar investments. Both Canada & the US require various versions of disclosures by their leaders. Trump’s income & investments are based 96% in the US according to this year’s disclosure. His 4% of income not in the US, is based on properties/golf courses he owns abroad. PM Carney’s investments according to the Ethics Commissioner, are also 96% in the US. There is no requirement in Canada for annual income disclosures. That should tell you as clearly as the data below, which country Carney thinks is in a better economic position 😎

"Trade policy is not simply a marketing exercise; it is based on trust. Companies that invest billions of dollars in food processing plants, logistics networks, or manufacturing facilities want to know Canada's true position. Government policy should not change depending on the audience. The prime minister also tried to reassure Canadians by claiming that Canada was now creating jobs at twice the rate of the United States. However, the data tells a different story. Over the past twelve months, Canada has lost approximately 25,000 net jobs, while the United States has created nearly 900,000. Canadians have every right to their political preferences and to expect their leaders to rely on public data when presenting the economic situation."

The US economy is sitting on the launchpad, listen to finance news outside of the US and Canada. Everyone wants to move $CAPITAL in the USA. Where capital flows economies boom. Less regulation... way less. Better taxation treatment. And a Tech ecosphere that is unrivalled. The Canadian media is delusional and suffers from TDS. They can't even see the obvious. Where did Mark Carney move Brookfield? Where are most of his assets? And the last point comparison.... Deficits in Canada are treated poorly are reflected in the dollar. The loonie is not a reserve currency. On the other hand... the US $ is the reserve currency of the world. Look at Canada's reserves. Canadian MSM for the most part are financially illiterate and compromised.

Guess who called for advice on chicken prices in Canada? Costco Canada. At $7.99 for a rotisserie chicken, they're likely losing $2–$4 per bird at current costs. Demand is so strong that many stores are selling out by noon.

BUYER BEWARE! TIME TO START TAKING A SECOND LOOK
Bought a product at 50% off because the best-before date had passed just three days earlier. I'm seeing this more and more. I'm also noticing strawberry clamshells that look half-empty while others appear full—yet they're all labeled as 340 grams. Interesting.

I am always on the lookout for food marked down because of the expiry date. I've saved as much as 75% off at Shoppers Drug Mart.
