Wonder if its neutered
We’ve received notice that the Department of Commerce has lifted export controls on Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5. We'll begin restoring access tomorrow, and will share an update soon. We’re grateful to our users for their patience, and to everyone who worked with us on redeploying the models.

husband couldn’t sleep last night because he had nightmares about how “inference markets will be an order of magnitude larger than anything we’ve ever seen before”

SHOCKING: Many neocloud executives we spoke with feel that if they have non-NVIDIA networking gear on their cluster, or if their cloud has an AMD GPU or TPU offering, NVIDIA will retaliate. They feel that retaliation includes not giving early allocation or no longer supporting a potential IPO/VC raise.(1/3)🧵

we must be onto something. @allinpod_clips @chamath @GavinSBaker feels like they read the whitepaper disaggregated prefill and decode inference ✔️ dram / sram fast inference ✔️ decentralised edge inference in 10mw blocks ✔️ general compute coming at ya @fastinference time to pitch @Atreidesmgmt and @socialcapital

The @cerebras earnings story has been grossly misunderstood by tourist investors. Here’s the real story. 1. Outstanding start since the IPO. A home run up and down the P&L. Core revenue up 92% year-over-year to $191 million. Net loss cut nearly in half. For a first earnings report as a public company, this is about as good as it gets. 2. Gross margin was temporarily down but for the right reason. To meet the enormous demand from our contracted backlog with OpenAI, Cerebras is temporarily renting back datacenter capacity from one of our partners. This is a company sprinting to keep up with a $20 billion contract. We'll grow into it as our own capacity comes online over the next couple of quarters. We talked about this dynamic publicly more than a month ago. Not a surprise to any financial analysts. 3. Couldn't be more excited about the future. The medium-term margin story is about economies of scale. Getting from hundreds of megawatts to gigawatts of capacity. The backlog is $24.6 billion, AWS is now a partner and the demand signal has never been stronger. I go into the details with @CNBC. Thanks for having me @carlquintanilla, @davidfaber, @LesliePicker.

This is why we are building @fastinference, no nvidia capture. ASICs first, doing inference speeds GPUs can't match
"Some neo-clouds worry that they can’t stray from buying Nvidia’s full stack of hardware for fear of being put in “Jensen jail,” meaning they might lose their allocations of Nvidia chips, said Adam Fisher, a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners." It seems Jensen Huang is effectively threatening neo-clouds implying that Nvidia could cut their chip allocations if they don’t buy Nvidia’s full stack.
