This is the sweetest thing: I gave a stranger who’d never driven a Tesla before a robotaxi ride. Now he’s going to buy a Tesla! The future is now 🤖🚕

Tesla really thought through the Cybercab as they designed it. Helping those with visual or mobility issues use the vehicle is something that had to be designed in from the start, not bolted on at the end. Well done!
Cybercab at the National Federation of the Blind's Annual Convention in Austin for a hands-on experience of its accessibility features for blind or visually impaired customers

For example:
– Braille lettering on physical controls – Space for service animals & assistive devices – Wheelchair-height seating for easier transfers

This is useful with your child driving. Also it might well be laying the foundation for Robotaxi, as sawyer suggests.
The Tesla app now shows you when FSD is enabled and the car is self-driving. Looks like it's only for cars on software 2026.20.6.1 for now, but should expand soon. I think this would mainly be useful if someone else were using your car and you wanted to know if the car was self-driving, or if in the father future, it was giving a robotaxi ride.

Between @robotaxi unsupervised in Miami and @larsmoravy's recent interview with @herbertong, it's become apparent that many of us--including me--have been looking at the Rotobaxi strategy all wrong. Tesla Just Revealed Its REAL Robotaxi Strategy youtu.be/kw3u77cGaj0?si=D5SU…

Happy Independence Day, to all my US friends. 🇺🇸 On this “big birthday” celebration of our 250th, I am reminded of our Bicentennial back in 1976. I was 11 then, and remember the grand celebrations for the day, as well as my brother and my Liberty Bell shirts (mine was red, his was blue)…. But looking back I realize that the time was fraught: Ford was president after Nixon had been forced to resign; we’d just lost the Vietnam War; the nation’s economy was is a bad state. It was a tough time and many my parents’ age thought the country was doomed. Today things feel very much the same: the populace has huge distrust in all branches of government; we’re in a senseless war that it appears we will lose (at least from a strategic point of view); the economy for normal people (not including the wall streett) is very, very rough. And many people my childrens’ ages don’t see much future in the USA. But here’s the lesson the past 50 years have taught me: we are a resilient bunch. We’ve gone through many administrations, several recessions, several wars, and many, many other challenges, and our country is still here, its beating heart challenged but never overturned. Let us take hope from history, use the challenges as an opportunity, and celebrate our 300th in style in 2076!

This is really and truly a fantastic feature. Getting out of traffic safely if the driver is incapacitated will save many lives.
if you stop supervising (or fall asleep), FSD 14 safely pulls to the shoulder and stops

Reading the I thought this could be a very bad idea, but on reading the proposal, Brian convinced me that this could have real legs. My only big question: what is the cost to the US to do this? Thoughts?

Slowly, slowly… then all at once.
Well well well. On the LOOONG weekend where things keep happening. I was on the way home from grabbing some takeout before heading to work tomorrow, and look what I stumbled into testing on Chucks Unprotected Left Turn in Jacksonville FL. The Cybercab! It had a driver in the drivers seat and was most likely collecting data. But this is further indication that this @Robotaxi thing is going to explode before we know it. Its coming. Get ready. @Tesla_AI

We went shopping today for various groceries and sundries we need around the house and spent nearly $800! Count around $100 off for things we didn’t need, but that’s still $700 for the basics. We make ok money and are still stretched every month. I don’t know how folks who have less can manage anymore.

I once heard something similar about doing YouTube videos: you’ll need to create at least 100 videos before you have any chance of success. Most people will quit long before then. The equation, no matter the field, is very much the same: keep going when most will stop.
I’ll try and compress 20 years of experience into 30 seconds Startups have a GREAT FILTER that kills almost everyone. It’s there to weed out the people who aren’t meant to build companies The good news is it can be beaten - even with little or no capital. Once you beat it, you can do it again. You can choose to stay at the current level or attempt to level up The level boss is always the same: if you quit, you fail I can’t stress this enough: almost every skill can be learned. Never stop improving. You can acquire new skills, hire better people, change the product, pivot the strategy, or rethink your assumptions You’ll hit the wall. Most will quit. But just keep going If something isn’t working, change course. Change your vector: reassess your hypothesis, measure the results, and keep iterating Also working hard compounds. The more quality work you can put in, the better your odds. There is no balance Almost nobody succeeds on their first attempt If you want it badly enough, you can bend the future in your direction Just start. And keep pushing

Huge news--and the biggest deal is this is in a new state. That's another state that is allowing @robotaxi to run free within their borders 😄

Let's talk @Tesla_AI and their amazing work creating FSD 14 Lite for older AI 3 based cars. @FutureAZA has some thoughts, and so do I. What do you think: does this extend the lifespan of these older cars? Tesla Just Saved Millions of Older Cars! youtu.be/m7IS5r5_YlQ?si=p8GS…

I posit that if we didn’t have air conditioning, there would be no one arguing that global warming is not happening.

Fable 5 is back, but the bigger point remains: the US government is now the gatekeeper to AI--and that has devastating consequences for companies, the economy, and you, yourself. LMK what you think--and am I right to blame them. Anthropic Just Killed AI youtu.be/Us_CA-khuD4?si=Getp…

Turbines are a HUGE bottleneck for power production, so this is a really big unlock for SpaceX (and Tesla of course). Nice.
