As someone that loves IU @VicOladipo has always been one of my favorite Hoosiers and this story shows why. Knew from day one of seeing him if the team worked half as hard as him they be legit. When he was in the NBA we always went to his games when he visited MN or WI.

Quick Vic Oladipo story I just heard.
A former No. 2 pick, standing at a door for 10 minutes, holding it open for other people's families. That was Vic at the 2026 NBA Draft.
Heard it from somebody who was there. Vic was working the draft as an ambassador. Hour or so before it starts, all the players' families are coming off the bus, headed inside Barclays. And Vic just grabs the door. Holds it for every single green room family member. Every parent, every cousin, every girlfriend walking through the outer media door.
Nobody told him to do that, to my knowledge. Man with his career could've smiled, waved, held it for one or two people. Nah. He stood there and held the door, and from what I heard he was talking to everyone.
I don't know what's next for @VicOladipo in the league, if anything. I just know some young team would be lucky to have that kind of mentor around in some capacity.

Ill add that seeing him in the pacers uniform as some that grew up a big pacers fans was awesome. Unfortunately it didnt end uo working out the way everyone wish it did but was awesome while it lasted.

No superteam. No "Big 3" splitting touches. Just 10 guys who knew exactly who they were led by a second round pick nobody thought was a "1A".
Now look at what the East just did.
Giannis to Miami. Kawhi back to Toronto. Brown to Philly, PG to Boston. LeBron's out in LA and half the league is calling his agent.
Everybody watched New York win it all and took the exact wrong lesson from it.
They think the answer is more stars.
It's not. The Knicks didn't out-talent anybody.
They won because a 6'2 guard who went 33rd in his draft, too small, too slow, not athletic enough, turned himself into one of the best players alive.
And he did it without demanding a trade, without recruiting a superteam, without ever acting like the work was beneath him.
Brunson made everybody around him better. Everyone knew what their role was. Nobody put themselves or their individual desires before the team.
That's the whole trick.
The rest of the league is stacking names on a spreadsheet trying to reverse engineer something they still don't understand.
The formula was never stars.
The formula is chemistry.

Lol 78 degrees is insanely hot. Got mine set at a crisp 69 right now.

Honestly I debate if I even want my kids to play baseball. It seems like the biggest time suck of all of the sports with everyone playing travel ball. Ill refuse to do it as long as I can, it seems like a giant waste if time and money. The kids would develop better training.

Fathers Day thought. I am not better than anyone else but I am saying this from a place of experience and failure. Donโt waste your summers playing sport. Go on trips. Make memories. Let them enjoy being a kid! When they get to HS their summers are taken with sport anyways.
