Henryโs portrayal of heat vision feels real because of the physical effort.
In Supergirl, it looks like a cheap effect because thereโs nothing grounding it in reality.
Even if itโs because sheโs so powerful, she could at least squint orโฆ anything, really.
Physicality in acting. You can feel the power through how much effort the actor is putting into it.
Now compare that to Supergirl. The lasers just come out of her without her barely doing anything ๐
