🚨 Media figures rushed to fact-check Trump by insisting Democratic Socialism is not Communism. But a majority of DSA’s national leadership is shaped by Communists, Marxist-Leninists, and members who see the org as fertile ground for radicalization. My latest for @CityJournal!

🚨 The DSA Dream Ticket? Hasan Piker, Hamas, Ibrahim Traoré, and Calla Walsh for Co-Chair Calla Walsh is trending again after showing up at Ali Khamenei’s funeral in Iran. It is worth remembering that some inside DSA have openly fantasized about bringing Walsh back into the organization and making her DSA co-chair. In this clip, DSA figures talk about their dream National Political Committee (NPC) lineup featuring “me [BlackRedGuard], Shane, Hasan Piker, five Hamas members, Ibrahim Traoré...” Then they get to Walsh, "the Tankie Greta Thunberg." “She’s the change that we need in DSA.” “I would love to see Calla on the NPC.” “Make her co-chair.” While many in the media scramble to explain how DSA is just a bunch of harmless social democrats, the radicals are already inside the house. The clip includes national DSA figures, including John Lewis, DSA’s NPC treasurer, who has held that role since 2023.

Seeing Bill Ayers alive and well in polite society is already mind-blowing. But in my opinion, this was the craziest thing I clipped all weekend. 👀
🚨 DSA Security Leader Praised DFW SRA: “If Everybody at DSA Was Like You Guys, We Would Have the Revolution Tomorrow.” Then Came the Prairieland Terrorism Sentences. It is pretty insane that BlackRedGuard once streamed with members of the Dallas–Fort Worth chapter of the Socialist Rifle Association and told them, “If everybody at DSA was like you guys, we would have the revolution tomorrow.” That clip looks a lot different now. Benjamin “Champagne” Song was sentenced to 100 years after being convicted of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and terrorism-related charges in the Prairieland ICE facility attack case. Zachary Evetts was sentenced to 50 years after being convicted of riot, providing material support to terrorists, and explosives and firearms charges. John Thomas and Joy Gibson, who appear to have been tied to the same DFW SRA orbit, pleaded guilty to providing material support to terrorists in connection with the same case. And remember, BlackRedGuard is Christopher Winston, a member of National DSA’s Red Rabbits Security Commission, the organization’s security project.

🚨 Bill Ayers and Princeton’s Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor Mark July 4th With No Patriotism, No Borders, and “Fuck the USA” As you celebrate Independence Day, remember that there is an entire class of activists, including many embedded in higher education, who spend their days trying to dismantle the country. Take last night’s “250 Years of Resistance” event at the National Public Housing Museum, featuring Brian Jones and Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor in conversation and introduced by Weather Underground co-founder Bill Ayers. The event was framed around the 250th anniversary of America not as a celebration, but as “250 years of resistance.” Ayers recalled a 1976 underground press poster declaring “200 years is enough” and said, “Now it’s 250 years, and I kind of feel similarly.” At one point, Professor Taylor even acknowledged the vibe in the room, joking, “This audience is all like, ‘Fuck the USA.’” Taylor rejected patriotism outright, saying, “We have to reject the idea of loving a nation state, which is what patriotism is.” She called the nation-state “destructive,” said “borders are deadly” and “borders kill people,” and later declared that the nation-state “should not be revered” because it is “a tool of death and destruction” that should be “the object of political struggle, not embrace.” She also said, “I want nothing to do with claiming the United States in some patriotic fashion,” before joking that when someone handed her child an American flag at the airport, she did not set it on fire, though the thought “may have crossed my mind.” To put this into plainer English, when Taylor says the nation-state should be the “object of political struggle,” she is talking about delegitimizing the nation-state itself and advancing a worldview that would dismantle the United States as a sovereign country. No nation-state means no real borders. No real borders means no meaningful sovereignty. No sovereignty means the people have no country left to govern. This is the old Marxist fantasy of a world where workers are not bound by nations, borders, or citizenship, but are free to move wherever they want. In practice, it means dissolving the country out from under its own people.

They are doing this on Bastille Day because that is who they are. Bastille Day may now be wrapped in French patriotism, but the revolution gave the world prison massacres, show trials, mass executions, revolutionary tribunals, and the Reign of Terror.

I would not be surprised if BRG ends up on the NPC in 2027. During the debate over whether to keep him on Red Rabbits, a MUG member argued that removing him could backfire and likely make him an NPC member instead. x.com/thestustustudio/status…
🚨 The “Death to America” Politics of DSA’s Springs of Revolution Here is DSA NPC member Andrew Thompson talking with Christopher Winston, better known as BlackRedGuard, in the lead-up to the 2025 DSA convention about Springs of Revolution, one of the fastest-rising factions inside DSA. This matters because Springs of Revolution went on to win four seats on DSA’s National Political Committee and is now the second-largest faction represented on DSA’s top leadership body. At this rate, it may well be the largest after the next DSA convention. Winston sees Springs of Revolution as Third Worldists and goes so far as to say, “I fuck with any slate that says death to America.” Thompson is a bit more understated, but he says he would probably call himself a communist, despite disliking labels. “The number one pathway to that is to end the greatest threat to that in the world, which is the United States.” Thompson’s anti-Zionist position is clear. Springs of Revolution “held the line” after October 7 so DSA would not condemn Hamas. He also argues Zionism should be treated like “racism, bigotry, transphobia, queerphobia, Nazism,” inside DSA. Two people in this video now hold national DSA leadership positions. Thompson is a member of the NPC, and Winston, BRG, was appointed to the National Red Rabbits Security Commission. As always, this is the DSA ecosystem in its own words.

What frustrates me as an outside observer is watching DSA co-chair Ashik Siddique point to Martin Luther King Jr. as the face of democratic socialism, while DSA’s actual internal politics increasingly look like this. x.com/thestustustudio/status…

This parasite, Bill Ayers, infected Obama from day one. Like syphilis he seemed to disappear, only to emerge more destructive than ever decades later. A true spirochete in America’s bloodstream.

He deleted the tweet and locked down his account. DSA transparency in action.
This is Kareem Elrefai, a national DSA leader and NPC member from Groundwork, part of DSA’s reform and election-minded wing. So as DSA competes for more power in America, it is worth noticing the message coming from its top leadership. “No one cares about this at all anymore. Pack it up.” Yuri Bezmenov had a word for this, and it was demoralization.

America 250 being a huge flop (in contrast with what I understand about the bicentennial) is maybe the surest sign that the social bonds in this country have significantly deteriorated, maybe irreparably. No one cares about this at all anymore. Pack it up.
