Last week Apple previewed the future of Siri. In 1987 though, Apple showcased a far more advanced AI assistant that would change how we use our computers entirely. It could see you, control your computer, and even looked and sounded human. They called it Knowledge Navigator. For nearly 40 years it remained science fiction. This past week at @tavus we finally brought it to life with the help from our friends at @cerebras. Meet Dom:

Other real-time avatar models are one-way- they only render responses, and in listening mode they cycle through prerecorded animations, nodding when no one is speaking, blinking unnaturally, or staying frozen in a way that makes it impossible to forget you're talking to a machine.

i built a "human" ai colleague i can video call. It can do research and pay creators or publications using @agentcashdev with @mpp @p0 or x402 on @base and @ExaAILabs as rails/venues. it's 'face' and eyes are powered by @tavus lives in the cloud, codes, and can spin up vms/runtime with @flydotio.
