On a long enough time horizon, the winning blockchains are platforms that suck in every market that requires coordination (finance, research, entertainment, robotics, energy, governance...). But you can't build a company around a market that's five years away. Timing matters. I think solving a painful problem today, without drifting too far from the long-term master plan in your head, might be one of the hardest balancing acts for ambitious entrepreneurs
