Oppo Reno16 Series has one of the boldest designs I've seen on a phone this year. It's not really the colour that makes it unique. Just look at the 3D planet pattern on the rear side to see what I mean. It really looks three-dimensional in person. Another part that I like about the latest launch from this brand: Oppo Bubble. It is a nice little solution for taking and framing your group photos remotely. It's just sad that the phone is not priced as well as I thought. It is truly a great phone, but it would've been so much easier to recommend this phone if the price isn't that high. IDR 15 million (~$833/₹79k) for this phone is a bit steep.

OPPO Reno16 Pro – Full Review: A Charming All-rounder, Caught Between Two Worlds. Before we begin, just take a look at this phone’s design. I think this is one of the most eye-catching patterns that OPPO has ever made. Aside from that new 3D Pop Planet design, the Reno16 Pro also brought several upgrades: 🤳 A more compact 6.3” screen at up to 144 Hz refresh rate 💨 The new MediaTek Dimensity 8550 SoC with improved graphics performance 🔋 Larger 6700 mAh battery 🧑‍💻 Latest ColorOS 16 with flagship-like software experience 📸 Several new and improved camera & photo editing features, like Pop Cam and AI Remix Collage 🔦 New Dual 2020 Multi-focus LED Flash I've loved how far OPPO has grown when it comes to refining the Reno Series phones, especially in the software department. This time, those refinements extend to the performance, battery, and overall user experience as well. That's while fitting into a more compact body that feels awesome to hold. I adore this phone, and there are so many reasons to love it. But there's just one thing that makes it harder for me to recommend this phone than it should've been. OPPO RENO16 PRO: CONCLUSION AND FINAL THOUGHTS The current trend in smartphone prices makes me feel sad. Phones positioned as upper mid-range devices are increasingly creeping into flagship price territory, and this device is no exception. The OPPO Reno16 Pro is genuinely an impeccable and well-rounded “almost flagship” phone. I can definitely recommend this phone if you want: ✅ A more compact 6.3” Android phone that is capable enough to do most, if not all tasks ✅ A flagship-like feel, with an excellent software experience that can even beat other high-end phones in how diverse the options are. ✅ Very good camera performance, whether it is for photos or videos, rear camera or front camera. ✅ Very good essentials, from haptics, performance, audio quality, to display. ✅ Excellent battery life that is optimised really well. OPPO is selling the Reno16 Pro in Indonesia at IDR 14,999,000 (~$835/₹79,712). That price makes it a bit hard to justify, considering how it almost matched some high-end phones. Another part worth mentioning is how the global Reno16 Pro is not the same as the Chinese Reno16 Pro. It is basically the regular Reno16 in China, with a Dimensity 8550 “Super” chip instead of the higher-end Dimensity 9500s. I'm not sure if the strategy was decided due to the existence of the Find X9s in the global market (with the very same Dimensity 9500s chip as the Chinese Reno16 Pro). Don't get me wrong, it is truly an awesome phone that could've been one of the easiest recommendations in its class if priced just a few hundred bucks lower. I hope the price will decrease in a few weeks or months, even though we all know that the current situation in the industry will make it seem unlikely.
