Drawing 10,000 fans on July 4th in a city that hadn’t hosted a world title fight in 20 years is a very positive sign for boxing. The crowds have been very strong despite all the out-of-the ring flux for the sport. The gates have been strong.

Stoppage aside, Mason has shown some serious grit the last two fights. He’s better when he just scraps. Makes for a shorter career but it’s what works for him. Everybody doesn’t have a best style that lasts until they’re 35
