I don’t think India is rich. I think it’s becoming very good at creating the illusion of wealth. Real prosperity is measured by productive jobs, rising incomes, quality education, healthcare, and infrastructure-not slogans or optics.

China tackled its economic challenges by becoming the world’s manufacturing powerhouse. How does India plan to solve its economic challenges? Through religion-or by creating jobs, building industries, and becoming globally competitive?

With the scandals emerging around the Ram Mandir administration, it’s sad to see how religion has become big business in India. Faith should inspire integrity, not create opportunities for profiteering. Don’t people have better things to do with their lives than monetize devotion?

They say the only two days you’re truly happy as a boat owner are the day you buy it and the day you sell it. Having owned one, I’d say there’s more than a little truth to that.

Are Andh Bhakts Ram Bhakts or is it the other way around?

Was ethanol blending in petrol a scientific decision, a financial decision, or a political one? If it’s scientific, show us the data. If it’s financial, explain the economics. If it’s political, be honest about it. Citizens deserve transparency-not assumptions.

My view: much of modern Hinduism has drifted away from its original purpose. It teaches too much ritual and symbolism, and too little responsibility, inquiry, and respect for human life. Knowledge without questioning is dogma. Ritual without purpose is optics. Ego without accountability is decay. It’s time to rediscover the spirit of the Vedas-not by renaming cities or glorifying the past, but by reviving a culture of inquiry, self-reflection, and personal responsibility.

Indian education teaches students to fear mistakes. American education teaches students to learn from them. Fear produces conformity. Learning produces innovation. One mindset helped build a ~$100,000-per-capita economy. The other is still struggling around ~$2,500. If you punish every mistake, don’t be surprised when people stop taking risks.

Leadership’s hubris masquerading as confidence is responsible for this.

These guys really have no shame in promoting themselves.

India seems focused on making India look good on the outside. The real goal should be making India great on the inside. A person’s true growth isn’t appearance-it’s character. The same applies to a nation. Greatness is built through honesty, responsibility, compassion, and integrity, not image management. That’s how people become better human beings. That’s how countries become truly great.

This is just my personal opinion, so please don’t take it the wrong way. I don’t think we’ve yet figured out how to truly enjoy life, respect life, or understand the meaning of life. Until we do, many of our social, political, and civic problems will keep repeating themselves.

India’s thinking (zero-sum game) and its lack of belief in itself (negative thinking) are holding it back from becoming a superpower.

India is obsessed with results but ignores the process. Measure effort, curiosity, discipline, and integrity - not just outcomes. Great nations are built on what people do every day, not just the final score.

“Show me a problem I’ve seen before, and I’ll solve it in a jiffy. Show me a problem I’ve never seen before, and I don’t even know where to start.” That, in one sentence, is the legacy of India’s rote-based education system.

All these medals and honors aren’t going to do diddly squat for employment or improve the economic well-being of Indians. So why the constant clamoring for them? Wouldn’t it be better to focus on creating jobs, raising incomes, and improving people’s lives?

Everyone in India— influencers, journalists, politicians, doctors, bureaucrats, street vendors—everyone is busy telling someone something. Maybe it’s time we stop “telling” and start “doing.”
