This team uniquely combines experience and passion across robotics models, hardware and the grit for data gathering. They have stood up partnerships with all of the major players already! Congrats @philippswu
Announcing @xdofai: We’ve raised $70 million to build the core robotic infrastructure ecosystem for robot foundation models. My cofounders Fred (@YideShentu), Nemo (@itsnemojin) and I have been pursuing the dream of general purpose robots for our entire lives. After work at Covariant, Meta and Tesla, it became clear to us that general purpose robots are coming, and we are building XDOF to help make them a reality. For the last two years, we’ve been working behind the scenes to support major labs and companies deploying robots. In us, they have a partner with full-stack expertise, from hardware to operations to policy training. As our first public contribution to the space, we are open-sourcing ABC-130K, the largest open source teleoperation dataset, in collaboration with our partners from UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, MIT and Amazon FAR. Thank you to our customers, partners, collaborators and investors for your trust and conviction in us. Together, we can accelerate the future of robotics!

tubopuffer's story is pretty wild: their first customer was Cursor, in hypergrowth (!!!) and after AWS Aurora could not handle Cursor's scale and this (then) tiny team pulled it off, and then some more building a DB on object storage is an undefeated idea, and a good one:
turbopuffer crossed $100M run-rate in March. 19mo after $1M. Profitable & <$1M raised. Cursor・Anthropic・Notion・Cognition・Harvey・Bridgewater・Ramp・Linear・Legora・Superhuman・Atlassian・Granola We’d be nowhere without them. We work like hell to exceed their expectations.

turbopuffer searches every byte ... 📈 "every page on the web, every transcript, every paragraph, every PDF, every satellite image, every fraudulent transaction, every video frame, every paper, every commit, every memory, every attachment, every product."

Software development has sped up, which means code security is more important than ever. @SocketSecurity makes it possible for safety to unlock speed, not add friction. In the past year, all of the leading AI teams, the mag 7 and indie devs have chosen Socket for good reason!
Today is a big day for @SocketSecurity. We just raised a $60M Series C at a $1B valuation, led by @ThriveCapital with participation from @a16z, @AbstractVC, and @CapitalOne Ventures. Total funding is now $125M. Four years ago, we started Socket because open source dependencies were flowing into production faster than anyone could vet them. AI has massively accelerated that. Code is being written, shipped, and deployed before any human reads it. Security has to operate at that same speed. One data point from Thrive's diligence that I keep coming back to: they first discovered Socket because @cursor_ai, @OpenAI, and @AnthropicAI all independently told them it was the most important security tool they'd adopted for AI-driven development. Three of the most sophisticated AI companies converging on the same vendor unprompted. Since our Series B, Socket has grown to more than 20,000 organizations, protecting over 1.5 million repositories and blocking more than 1,000 supply chain attacks every week. The team is now over 100 people. Three out of five FAANG companies are Socket customers. So are the companies building the most ambitious AI products: @AnthropicAI, @cursor_ai, @xai, @figma, @vercel, @Replit, @scale_AI, @GustoHQ, @Mercadolibre, and @cribl_io, alongside Fortune 100s in financial services and global media. What we've shipped since the last round: • Socket Firewall blocks malicious packages at install time, before they reach a developer's laptop or CI pipeline. Free for everyone. • Reachability analysis via our acquisition of Coana, eliminating 50-80% of irrelevant vulnerability alerts by focusing only on CVEs that are actually exploitable. • Socket Certified Patches for remediating exploitable CVEs in seconds without waiting on upstream maintainers. • Coverage extending to browser extensions, editor extensions, MCP servers, and AI tools via our acquisition of @secureannex. When the Axios compromise hit, our detection systems flagged the malicious dependency within six minutes. Within 24 hours, more than 2,000 organizations onboarded to Socket to block it. Where the funding goes: deeper investment in Firewall, massively expanding Certified Patches, moving protection closer to every point of install across the developer toolchain, and new product launches pushing Socket into a category we haven't entered before. We're hiring across engineering, sales, customer success, and threat intel. ❤️ Thank you to our customers, investors, and the open-source community for your support. Together, we’re making software safer for everyone.

This team is doing the hard work to make hardware easier 🔥 @scottgmorton has won an incredible set of customers straight out the gates, a testament to his earned insights from a decade serving the demands of SpaceX!
Today we announced our $150M Series B led by @IndexVentures with major participation from @Redpoint and returning investors including @ThriveCapital, @Felicis, and @AbstractVC. Across aerospace, energy, and manufacturing, engineering teams are pushing what’s possible. The software behind many of these systems hasn’t kept up. Revel gives engineering teams the infrastructure to test and control complex hardware systems with speed and confidence. In just over a year, we’ve built a world-class team, converted every pilot into a customer, and are now expanding the platform across new industries. If you believe great hardware deserves great software, we’re hiring across the board.

We just launched demos! I think it’s a glimpse at a post-code future. Over a third of our PRs are now created autonomously with this feature.
Cursor now shows you demos, not diffs. Agents can use the software they build and send you videos of their work.

Over the past decade I’ve come to deeply admire Jack’s rare combination of kind and competitive. Two of Lattice’s values were “Ship, shimpate, self” and “Own the outcome.” Those are Jack. I’m excited for the impact he’ll have on even more teams as part of Benchmark. Congrats!
I’m really excited to share that I’m joining Benchmark. The past two years as a full time investor have been the most rewarding of my career. I really love venture capital, which is not something I ever imagined I’d say when I was kid, but here we are. I love new ideas and being part of a team with a mission. I love getting to be there for people who are struggling towards goals they really care about. I love learning from people who are better CEOs than I ever was. I love the texture of the work, the competition, and the way the job lets you invest in relationships. I love it so much that I’ve even turned into a little venture nerd with a podcast who goes around harassing great investors and founders, trying to learn as much as I can as fast as possible. I’ve certainly learned what I care most about, and what kind of investor I want to be. What I’ve realized is that I love investing at the Series A, when there’s enough going on that an investor can be useful but not so much that you can’t have an impact. I think there are many amazing ways to practice venture, it’s just the way that most speaks to me. And as I came to realize that, I started to think about how to best set myself up to do that craft as well as possible. It became clear to me there is nowhere better for this than Benchmark; the way they’re structured, their principles, their overall approach to investing, and their track record all create an environment that I believe will let me do my best work as an investor and help founders the most I possibly can. As I’ve gotten to know the team at Benchmark I’ve come to admire so much about each of them. Peter is truly playing his own game. A lot of what he says sounds like poetry at first, but as the ideas roll around in your head for a while you realize how much depth they have. I first heard about Eric many years ago from my friend Saji at Benchling while I was building Lattice, who described him as the most amazing board member and attributed him with a lot of the company’s success. That’s the kind of partner I want to be one day. Chetan is brilliant and truly thinks for himself; I’ve realized over time what a courageous guy he is. And then there’s my friend Ev, whose skills complement mine and who I just love to be around. I can’t wait to have him as a partner in crime. When given the chance to work with this group I just knew I had to go. One of my motivating north stars with Alt Capital was to build a firm and be a partner that I most would have wanted as an entrepreneur. Although I haven’t gotten everywhere I want to be yet, I’m proud of the work so far. And now I’m excited to build on that work at Benchmark, where I hope to increase my rate of learning and get armed with the power of a partnership so I can help founders reach their dreams even more. Thank you to the companies who’ve let me invest with them at Alt Cap. I’m keeping all my board seats and supporting everyone just the same as before. Thank you to the LPs who’ve backed me as well. I am so excited about the portfolio we have and am grateful I can stick with all those companies. And finally thank you to my teammates, Bala, Vivek, and Nate. Bala took a bet on me and started investing with me before it was remotely obvious, and we’ve been able to grow so much figuring it out together as investors. I credit Nate with helping Alt start feeling like a firm. He joined us from First Round over a year ago and made everything run smoothly. And while Vivek joined just a little while ago, even in the short time we’ve worked together he’s had a meaningful impact on how we think and invest. They’re all joining Benchmark with me. So pumped for this chapter.

I was born too late for the early days of the internet, but I’ve studied it with boundless fascination. Stories like my dad’s, who founded one of the first ecommerce software companies out of MIT as a side quest from producing electronic music with Yo-Yo Ma. His love of creation inspired me. I pinch myself that we get to be a part of this moment! Change is the catalytic force for startups, and fundamental technical change is the most powerful of all. The internet digitized what we do. Intelligent computing does it for you. Every week our team has a ‘can’t unsee it’ experience, a product that would have been science fiction a few years ago. In a changing world, the biggest risk is comfort in the status quo. We are proud to be a part of the teams who are pioneering the future right under the nose of incumbents … look at Cursor, OpenEvidence, Turbopuffer, OpenAI… it’s a golden time for the missionaries, the visionaries, the inventors. With Thrive X, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with the founders blazing new trails at this moment of tectonic change. thrivecap.com/thrive-x

The best teams are measuring token usage per person. They know their power users and learn from them. They push to operationalize intelligence. We all have to go through a behavioral phase change, ice -> water. Become a token maxi.
