"Board looks like a sleek 24-inch coffee-table screen, but it behaves more like a playground. You drop real pieces – a sponge, a spaceship, a robot, depending on the game – onto the surface, and it reacts instantly, lighting up, buzzing, and somehow turning a room full of distracted people into an engaged group of happy competitors." — USA Today
Introducing Board – the first ever face-to-face gaming console that combines the best of board games and video games into one beautiful new platform. Available today!! board.fun

*New research* LLMs as Strategic Agents: Beliefs, Best Response Behavior, and Emergent Heuristics “ When you ask Claude or GPT a strategic question, it's not just answering. It's 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 you first. In our new research, we caught frontier AI models forming beliefs about who they're talking to, then deliberately adjusting their reasoning depth to match. Against humans? They self-limit to 2-3 levels of thinking - even when they can go to 9 . Against other AIs? One model reasoned: "Since I'm playing against LLMs trained on human data, they'll probably play one level higher than humans, so I should go two levels higher." Most surprising: when we pushed them to their cognitive limits, they invented entirely new coping strategies - heuristics we've never observed in humans or game theory. ”

AI talking to Robots! 🧠⇄📷 We just open-sourced our ROS MCP Server, connecting LLMs with robots through ROS and MCP. This is too powerful to do alone! It needs community and industry/research partners. Please DM me if interested. The video is from a research group using

We are profoundly grateful that Dr. Ruth Gottesman, Professor Emerita of Pediatrics at @EinsteinMed, has made a transformational gift to #MontefioreEinstein—the largest to any medical school in the country—that ensures no student has to pay tuition again. bit.ly/3wvBj7y

We have a new report out: "Drawdowns and Recoveries: Base Rates for Bottoms and Bounces" -Our investigation of price declines from peak to trough, or drawdowns, for stocks and mutual funds yields some provocative and surprising results. -We examine overall base rates, point out the persistence of drawdowns even in a world with perfect foresight into long-term returns, provide two case studies, review academic research, and offer qualitative guidelines for considering which stocks may recover.

Thoughts are now an input device. Today, @Apple announced its new BCI Human Interface Device (#HID) protocol—and Synchron is proud to be the first brain-computer interface company to achieve native integration with iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. That means: 🧠 No touch. 🧠 No voice. 🧠 No movement. Just thought. Using Synchron’s brain-computer interface, people with paralysis can now control Apple devices directly with their minds. Apple is formally recognizing brain signals as a native input category—joining the ranks of touch, keyboard, and voice. That’s a paradigm shift not just in accessibility, but in how we think about interacting with technology. We're grateful to Apple’s accessibility team, our clinical collaborators, and—most of all—the patients leading the way. Irredeemably cool — congratulations, @ZennaTavares & @BasisOrg
We’re making the @BasisOrg organisation document public today. It’s less a charter and more a design doc—our spec for why a new kind of technology and research organisation is needed, and how to build it. (link below)
