One Piece TCG collectors 👀 If I can only grab one, which OG Straw Hat Manga is the best pick up over the next 6-12 months? I will cop the most mentioned card.

Are One Piece Mangas the next Poncho Pikachu’s? I’ve seen a number of posts comparing the two & I kinda agree. Pop size incredibly similar in the low to mid 2000’s Some of the most coveted cards in either collection. If that’s the case comparing these market caps of the top Mangas vs top Ponchos there’s some serious upside. Tons of variables tho The ponchos found their price over 10 years can OP do it in half that time?

Just took a HUGE gamble on One Piece TCG... This has to be one of the coolest sets across all TCGs. The OP-13 Demon God Pack. It is a chase “god pack” variant that replaces the normal random mix of cards with a complete high-end set focused on the Five Elders (Gorosei) in their demonic/yokai/beast forms. It’s a first of its kind for One Piece, maybe all TCGs... Instead of a random mix, it’s a select curated card set designed by a single artist. BUT THAT'S NOT EVEN THE COOLEST PART!!! The artwork for the Five Elders cards in these Demon God Packs was illustrated by Gege Akutami… …the frikin creator and mangaka of Jujutsu Kaisen! 😱 oh and for the pop obsessed, These are crazy rare cards Pulling one is roughly 1 in 10–20 full cases not booster boxes... CASES (a case = 12 booster boxes). As a frikin huge JJK fan who's now falling in love with One Piece I had to have these. BUT will my gamble pay off? IDK 👀

Are Manga Event cards the most slept on collectibles in the One Piece TCG? Left $700 Right $15,000

Seeing more and more people on the TL calling Gold Stars overvalued lately. Respectfully, they don’t have a clue what they’re talking about. It’s not just the near-impossible hit rates. A single booster pack from those 2004-2007 sets can run you $1500 at market price right now... AND even then, most aren’t even available close to that. BUT none of this is what makes people who think they're overvalued wrong... Gold Stars are infamous for their terrible quality control. Even if you somehow pull the chase card raw against all odds, the chances of it grading anything decent are brutal, and landing a 10 is less than a 1% chance. So even if you’re granted two miracles, you still need a third. Yes, these cards are expensive. But that doesn’t mean they’re overvalued. As new buyers come in, these remain the ultimate chase cards, essentially impossible to get any other way than by buying from a holder who doesn’t want to sell.

The most undervalued Manga Rare in One Piece without a doubt is OP01 Shanks. Out of all the cards experiencing crazy price increases, this one stands out to me. It’s Red-Haired Shanks! literally the guy who passed the Straw Hat to Luffy. BUT mainly because it’s the first ever Manga Rare. Manga Rares as a category have become THE grails, with cards like Gear 2 & 5 now commanding much higher values. If Pokémon has taught us anything, it’s that history and originals equal extreme value. That’s why vintage is cooking right now. Well… this is the very first in the Manga Rare series; the series every collector considers the grail of grails. Am I missing something? 🤷‍♂️
