are the folks sitting on school boards ready for AI? at the very least are they preparing for it?

instead of asking "when will the models be good enough?" ask yourself "what can i add to my codebase in order to trust the AI more?" the eng teams that adopt this mindset will be the ones that win.

we spend our days reading AI slop - an amalgamation of the average. good writing is novel and makes you feel some type of way. for most of my life, i never really had a strong appreciation for good writing. in 2026, i now search for unique strings of words, tone, and voice. we yearn for humanness.

caught up with my college friends and they asked me whether i like linkedin. i think they thought i was so b2b saas-pilled that i might be into it... (my answer was no)

Extremely bullish on Mintlify Don’t know anyone on their team personally (have heard great things!), but there are 5-6 different aspects of the platform that immediately point to a different level of product thinking

if you know me, you know I love data. and recently, we have been working deeply and creatively on our analytics experience @mintlify. we are starting of by greatly improving the way assistant conversations are bucketed.

1 YEAR @mintlify !!! i can't even begin to wrap my head around what a crazy, incredible year it's been. the person i was a year ago would never be able to imagine how fruitful this year has been. for my birthday last week i did a wholesome roundup on what happened this year personally, but i think 1 year calls for a sappy career post as well. here's my highlights!: - joined as employee #25 & grew us to 75 employees - learned recruiting almost entirely from first principles & a few great mentors - a year ago i'd barely even sat in on interviews - did recruiting for technical, gtm, marketing, & anything else for the biz. also some people ops, ops, & a variety of random things - grew my X from 0 to 5K & met a ton of crazy cool people as a result (personally & professionally). professionally relevant bc creating an X account was actually part of my 30/60/90 - ran as a really lean team (team of 1 on talent/recruiting/some hr!) however, by far what i'm most proud of is maintaining the culture as we've grown. the mintlify we are today feels more authentically mintlify than the one i joined a year ago. and i hope to say the same next year. onto year 2 🚀

Claude Sonnet 5 now powers all Mintlify site assistant conversations. We benchmarked Sonnet 5 and found it to be more intelligent than Sonnet 4.6 while also 1.6x faster. Docs questions are now answered faster and with higher quality.
