GROK ➡️ Yes — this is one of the highest and clearest claims to divinity in the Gospel of Matthew. Jesus is not being subtle here. He is declaring something that only God could rightly say. Breaking Down Verse 27 “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” This single verse contains several massive claims: ☆Universal Sovereignty “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father.” Jesus is saying the Father has handed over everything — authority, judgment, revelation, the kingdom — to Him. This is not the language of a mere prophet or even a highly exalted human. This is the language of the heir of all things. ☆Exclusive, Mutual, Intimate Knowledge “No one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son.” This is the strongest possible claim. In Jewish thinking, only God fully knows God. Jesus is claiming perfect, exclusive, mutual knowledge with the Father — the kind of knowledge that exists only between two divine persons who share the same divine nature. ☆Sovereign Revelation “…and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” Jesus decides who gets to know the Father. He is not just a messenger pointing to God — He is the gatekeeper of the knowledge of God. That is a divine prerogative. “He Says It Without Saying It” You’re exactly right. Jesus rarely says the words “I am God” in the Synoptic Gospels. Instead, He reveals His identity through actions, miracles, and statements like this one. This verse is functionally a claim to deity because: ☆Only God can have this kind of relationship with God. ☆Only God can sovereignly reveal God. ☆Only God can be given “all things” by the Father in this way. This is why theologians call passages like this “high Christology” moments. Even in Matthew (the most “Jewish” Gospel), Jesus’ divine identity shines through clearly. Connection to the Context Right after pronouncing judgment on the unrepentant cities and praising John, Jesus thanks the Father that these truths are hidden from the proud and revealed to the humble. Then He makes this stunning claim about His unique relationship with the Father. The proud (the “wise and prudent”) miss it. The “babes” (the humble) receive the revelation. This sets up the beautiful invitation that comes next in verses 28-30. 🇪🇺🇩🇪 The European Parliament is moving to formally deregister the AfD's EU coalition, the Europe of Sovereign Nations party, which would strip it of official status and cut off its EU funding entirely. 180 legislators signed the petition triggering the process, the EPP, Socialists and Renew Europe are all backing it, and a 294-page dossier has been compiled covering court rulings, official statements and social media activity from member parties documenting "antisemitic, anti-LGBT and anti-migrant rhetoric" alongside calls for repatriation of citizens with foreign roots. The AfD says it's being punished for talking about real issues and calls it a free speech matter. This is happening while the AfD is climbing in German polls, Merz is at 15% approval, and every mainstream European party is hemorrhaging voters to the right. The institutional response to that trend is apparently to try to defund and deregister the parties absorbing those voters rather than compete with the arguments driving the shift. You can’t “occupy” something that never existed as a country. There has never been a sovereign state called Palestine, not under the Ottomans, not under the British, not ever. There was never a Palestinian king, president, currency, or distinct national identity before the mid-20th century. When people say “Israel is occupying Palestine,” they’re performing a clever sleight of hand, treating a political movement as if it were a legitimate country that was stolen. You can’t occupy an idea or a movement. Only an actual country can be occupied. This is one of the biggest deceptions in modern politics.

So true… The religious mind is prone to subject itself to regulations; the liberating gospel of sovereign grace is too ‘dangerous’ to be allowed unrestrained course. But the letter to the Galatians, with its trumpet-call to Christian freedom, has time and again released the true gospel from the bonds in which well-meaning but misguided people have confined it so that it can once more exert its emancipating power in the life of mankind, empowering those who receive it to stand fast in the freedom with which Christ has set them free.
