The Senate math just got more interesting.
You holding $XRP, $XLM or other digital assets?? pay attention to this part.
Some Senate Democrats were not holding out for no reason. Their votes were tied to law-enforcement concerns around Section 604.
That was one of the pressure points.
The bill needs 60 votes, and when law enforcement pushes back, senators get an easy excuse to delay.
Now MCSA moved from opposed to neutral.
That is not victory. It is not a yes. Other groups still have not moved.
But in the Senate, neutral is a big step away from hard no.
That means votes that looked locked out may now be reachable.
For XRP and XLM, this matters because institutions need rules before they use payment and settlement rails at scale.
The fight is not over.
But the path just got less impossible.

비트코인이 전 세계적으로 가장 인기가 많은 이유가 뭘까 생각해 보았다. 내가 생각하는 가장 큰 이유는 2009년 탄생한 비트코인이 0달러부터 시작해 세월을 거쳐 지금의 수만 달러대까지 엄청난 우상향 파동을 보였다는 점이다. 지난 17년간 마운트곡스 빔, BCH 하드포크 빔, 코로나 빔, FTX 빔 등 자비 없는 하락빔도 수없이 쏟아졌지만, 지나고 보면 그때는 일생일대의 매수 기회였고 결국 시간이 흐른 뒤 거대한 수익률로 보답했다. 비트코인은 무분별한 발행으로 가치가 하락해 가는 달러나 원화 등의 법정화폐를 대신해, 발행 개수가 제한된 '디지털 금'으로서 확실히 자리를 잡은 느낌이다.
하지만 탈중앙화와 2,100만 개의 발행량 제한을 표방한 비트코인이, 역설적이게도 지금은 소수의 고래들에게 압도적인 물량이 독점되며 또 다른 의미로 중앙화되고 있다는 사실을 간과할 수 없다. 바이낸스 같은 대형 거래소에서 지배자들이 AI 봇을 이용해 시세를 펌핑 앤 덤핑하고, 그 움직임에 따라 알트코인들은 추풍낙엽처럼 흔들릴 뿐이다.
결국 나는 비트코인이 유틸리티 알트코인들을 위한 '마라톤의 페이스메이커' 같은 역할을 하고 있다고 생각한다. 초기 전 세계의 이목을 끌고 유대 자본을 흡수하며 크립토 시장을 선두에서 이끌어왔지만, 과연 미래의 실생활에 쓰일 수 있는 코인인가에 대해서는 의구심이 든다. 특히 30분이 넘는 긴 트랜잭션(전송) 시간은 큰 실망을 안겨주었다.
결국 비트코인의 뒤편에서 열심히 실질적인 금융 인프라를 구축하고 있는 XRP, XLM, ETH, SOL, LINK 그리고 ISO 20022 규격을 준수하는 메이저 알트코인들이 실생활의 RWA(실물자산 토큰화), 결제, 송금, 계약, 담보 등의 역할을 수행하며 결국 선두에 설 것이라 확신한다. 이것은 시대의 거대한 흐름이기에 그 누구도 막을 수 없다.
메이저 알트코인의 시가총액이 비트코인을 넘어서는 순간, 전 세계 사람들은 새로운 왕이 나타났다며 열광할 것이 틀림없다. 대중은 가격이 올라야 비로소 신뢰를 보내고 매수하고 싶은 마음이 들기 때문이다.
나는 바로 지금이 마이크로스트레티지(MicroStrategy)발 비트코인의 손아귀에서 벗어나, 유틸리티 코인 체제로의 전환이 시작되는 시점이라고 믿는다. 머지않아 비트 도미넌스는 압도적으로 하락할 것이며, 진정한 알트 대불장이 올 것이다.
