22-Year-Old Stabbed To Death On Night Bus In Hounslow, West London.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, another young life was tragically ended on the streets of west London.
Haruun Hassan, a 22-year-old man of Somali origin who was known locally in Hounslow, was stabbed during a violent altercation on a night bus, another grim chapter in the capital's endless knife crime epidemic.
Emergency services rushed to the busy junction of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road near Heathrow Airport around 1:47am after reports of a serious stabbing. Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service found Hassan with catastrophic injuries. Despite frantic efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses described chaos on the N9 night bus heading towards Heathrow, as an argument erupted among passengers.
Hassan, described by police as local to the area, reportedly staggered from the bus after being stabbed, seeking help before collapsing on the pavement in a pool of blood.
In a fast-moving investigation, the Metropolitan Police announced today that a 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Both remain in custody as the investigation continues.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller appealed directly to passengers: "We know there were a number of people on the bus at this time."

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 22-year-old man in Hounslow.
A man and a woman, both aged 21, were arrested on Sunday, 5 July and have been taken into custody.
