The big problem is gamification in the US. Blacks develop earlier and get the attention from coaches. For the most part, white athletes aren't just discovered and developed. They come from a wealthy family that pays for private attention and that positions them to get reps.

Zynga stacked features that spiked weekly numbers and quietly leaned on Black Hat motivation. An A/B test measures a week, not how a product holds up over two years. New episode on thinking in systems: professorgame.com/podcast/45โ€ฆ #Gamification

It's mostly a gamification of the process and feeling of completion. Norwegian TOMRA is the world leader at these machines - and they mastered putting them at perfect places

Excited to see how @sleepagotchi is making sleep tracking more interactive while encouraging healthier routines through gamification. Small improvements each night can lead to big results over time.

Left Duolingo out on purpose theyโ€™re the interesting case. Their gamification is fun around the learning: streaks, gems, owl guilt. The drill itself is still a drill! Mirrorโ€™s bet: make the activity itself the fun part. Acting out a scene is the game. Nobody quotes their Duolingo exercise at a party, and I love it!

Iโ€™ve been messing around with Catapult these past few days and itโ€™s actually different from the usual perp dex clone they call it โ€œiTradingโ€, gamification trading. you can trade synthetic charts that give full altcoin-style volatility compressed into seconds. PS/ the synthetic charts are algo-generated, provably fair, and audited by hashlock & halborn no liquidity issues, no slippage, no waiting on launches. basically took the terminal trading meta that did $1B in volume and rebuilt it for mass consumer / iGaming standards, with gamified real assets launching in Q3 on top. > live 8 months > 300k users > $3M revenue already > backed by kucoin ventures oddiyana > integrated with binance wallet gate public sale is live now. 6% supply, $3.6M raise, $60M FDV, with ~1/3rd of supply liquid at listing. Whitelist filled in a few minutes yesterday. revenue buys back burns supply too, kinda similar to how Hyperliquid runs it TGE in this Q3, listing on ~8 CEXs on day one. Not the kinda stuff you want to miss

Good sleep isn't just about feeling restedโ€”it's the foundation for better focus, energy, and well-being. Sleepagotchi makes that journey a little more fun. Ready to level up your sleep? ๐ŸŒŸ #Sleepagotchi #SleepHealth #Gamification #Wellness #HealthyHabits #Productivity #SelfCare

Sustainable Web3 starts with small daily habits. Many projects can attract users with rewards, but keeping them engaged is always a challenge. What I find interesting about @sleepagotchi is that the project builds engagement based on an existing habit โ€“> getting enough sleep regularly. The consecutive days, daily challenges, and gamification elements make retention feel natural rather than forced. For me, this is a noteworthy approach because long-term value comes not only from incentives, but also from positive behaviors formed each day. gSleep!

350 students in a ballroom screaming at me. That's what happened when I led an entrepreneurship workshop. Because I was using experiential learning. I wasn't telling them what they should know. I wasn't telling them what they should do. I was ASKING them what WE should do. We were running a lemonade stand simulation. It was up on the big screen. I was controlling the software, but they were guiding the decisions. "Who thinks we should raise our price?" "Who thinks we should lower it?" "Or should we keep it the same?" A couple of strong opinions can get loud. A couple of hundred sounds like the audience on The Price Is Right yelling at a contestant to lock in a $1 bid (IYKYK). There were no prizes. No gifts. No extrinsic rewards. No superficial gamification. Just an experience that put them in control. I've repeated this with young children, youth, college students, adult learners, and teachers. It works every time. You can do the same in almost any subject.

Gamification works best when it changes behavior without feeling forced.

the community layer is underrated here, habits stick way better with visible peer consistency than pure willpower, Sleepagotchi baking that in is smart design not just gamification

That's the gamification done right. It's not random. It's not slot machine energy. It's you putting your actual conviction on the line against someone who knows you.

i felt that incorporating gamification can make tracking habits less tedious, maybe its a good way to make wellness stick.

But can gamification truly change behavior for the long haul, or is it just a fleeting trend?
