Hi I really like the fast paced action and hand drawn style in DekaDuck. The gameplay looks like it rewards both speed and creativity, especially with the grab mechanics. I was curious what mechanic came first during development, the detachable arm or the movement system?

For gameplay purposes, the sheath is attached behind the shield-side arm to preserve visual balance. It's visible when drawing or sheathing. The animation is displayed horizontally in front of the character.
I used melee as a random, fastidious example of an extremely short gameplay experience that's possible to play repeatedly and also developed in under a year by a medium size team. I'm not saying every game should be like Melee or can be like Melee.
Still here, still grinding, still trading assets I actually earned through gameplay not just market timing.
Looking for studios that shipped a fun game first and treated the token as a layer on top, not the entire foundation.
