I’m in @FT today making a simple argument: data centers are creating market-driven demand for American-made industrial tech. This is the kind of industrial renaissance Ds and Rs say they want, but politics are pushing hard the other way. /1 giftarticle.ft.com/giftartic…

My favorite text yesterday: “I feel like I’m 12 years old seeing the Halo 2 main menu for the first time”
We’ve dreamed of creating an archeofuturist brand since the earliest days of Asimov Collective, and @IanRountree, @grant__gregory, and @ameekapadia proved to be the perfect partners to bring that vision to life. Inspired by Trajan’s Column, we imagined a future where the most important companies of our era are commemorated for the civilization they helped build. Cantos exists to recognize the founders and companies laying the foundations of a more advanced, abundant, and inspiring future. Resonat in aeternum.

Cantos GP @IanRountree says one of the biggest lessons he's learned from investing in deep tech is that breakthrough technology alone isn't enough. The real value comes from solving meaningful problems that people will pay for. "Technology is not inherently valuable in and of itself. It's valuable insofar as it solves a problem and creates value in the world." "If you're better at packaging things that are off the shelf in a novel way and contextualize that in a business that makes money, that's a lot more interesting than saying, 'I did my PhD in this crazy thing, and it sounds really cool.'"

We had a clear vision for our new look and knew Asimov was the best creative firm to bring it to life. Incredible work from their team. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Project Ranger will be the largest dedicated hypersonic manufacturing site in the country. This is possible because of our partnership with New Mexico and their workforce, heritage, and commitment to high standards. @CNBC showcases how our collaboration is playing a defining role in building America's new deterrence infrastructure. cnbc.com/amp/2026/06/30/trum…

This is one of the, if not the most consequential industrial buildouts of our lifetime. Cantos has been investing here for 10 years, and as you’ll see below, we intend to keep partnering with people working assiduously to make their mark on the world. Our aim is to work deeply with the most consequential companies in this century, ones that are building for, in, and around the physical world. The ones that succeed will resonate in eternity. We exist to find and support the heroes on these journeys. We’re here to help you write your epic story. Resonat in Æternum.

The Godfather of Deep Tech has spoken
I started Cantos a decade ago with a $4.5M fund 1 and delusions of associated grandeur. I called it “cantos” dreaming that I might partner with founder-heroes whose impact would propagate through time, remembered as legends. 10 years might have jaded me but it’s quite the opposite. Now I KNOW the future can be shaped. Our portfolio founders have shown me—so our ambitions are as grand as ever. May your deeds echo a thousand years. 🏛️

We have two exciting announcements today as Cantos turns 10… First, we closed our new fund earlier this year. Canto IV is a $70M fund purpose-built to lead pre-seed and seed rounds. We oversubscribed, wanting to keep it right-sized for being a founder's most aligned first partner. Second, we launched our new look with help from our friends at @asimov_co! Cantos is so-named as an ode to epic poems, where grand stories are written in "cantos" rather than chapters. We view founders as the protagonists of today's epics and seek to back those whose deeds become the stuff of legend. Our new website is a testament to the scale of their ambitions, with visions from a future they will have shaped. Resonat in Æternum 🖋️

.@CNBC EXCLUSIVE: New Mexico and Castelion are highlighted on America's Top States for Business 2026 series. New Mexico's long history of hypersonic research and development is critical to Castelion’s growth as we build Project Ranger, a 1,000-acre hypersonic manufacturing campus. We're grateful for New Mexico's partnership, including @GovMLG, @sandovalcounty, @RioRanchoNM, @NMecondev, @ElectJayCBlock, and @ABQEconDev.

You gotta wait for the reveal at the end
Los mexicanos haciendo desmadre afuera del hotel de Ecuador para no dejarlos dormir y los jugadores ya se asomaron desde sus habitaciones a ver qué está pasando JAJAJAJAJA. Amo a mi México, somos naquísimos.
