Drone munitions are getting fancier.
This 'Combined Effects' model has Anti Armor, Frag, and Incendiary capability, allowing it to work against a broad spectrum of 'targets of opportunity.'
Will be interesting to see what munitions the West pursues for these applications.

The Russian KOZBCh-1.8 drone bomb contains two inserts of the incendiary material Ni-Al-Ti-B, one of which also serves as an active wave-shaper.
Ni-Al-Ti-B is an intermetallic-ceramic material that, when ignited, yields a self-sustaining, exothermic reaction at 3000–4000°C.

1g of Flash Powder, equivalent to 20x modern firecrackers. The cherry was made of a mix of sawdust and sodium silicate, hard and waterproof.

Rather then relying on Drone Ships that don't exist, the UK should be looking into arming commercial container ships, similar to the example below which China is doing.
The ship building -slowest part- is already done, and a container ship can hold a gigantic number of missiles

Using a base fuse, the grenade would be programed to detonate above and forward of the target, showering it with over 300 Tungsten BBs.
Like all great designs, it was not adopted. But it shows potential as a future drone warhead.

Enhanced Bolts for High Pressure Cartridges
The XM7 SPEAR in 6.8x51 uses lengthened bolt lugs (top) compared to the normal lugs of the AR-10 (bottom) to handle its 80,000psi cartridge.
Likely a feature we will see in rifles submitted to the HICAR high pressure 5.56 program.

.338 firepower in a MG that weighs less than most 7.62, intended to be the 'Goldilocks' between the 7.62 M240 and .50 M2.
Interestingly SIG does not show it capable of firing High Pressure .338, which may prompt a redesign in the future

ARES ACR - the coolest rifle never tested
60rd bullpup firing plastic cased 5mm 100% tracer ammo with ultra low recoil full auto.
Idea was to use tracers to correct aim, then hose down the enemy in FA. Relevant today as an alternative to Tungsten AP for defeting body armor.
