this is actually a photo of the cessna citation x that we used to visit clubs at equinox. the ceo would grab a few of us and we'd go nyc -> chicago -> sf -> la -> dallas -> miami -> dc -> boston -> nyc in one week!

a main thing that I was responsible for at apple retail was to hold the line. every defect from every store was identified daily. we were crazed. any deviance from brand was nipped in the bud lest it normalize and take root. can you find what's wrong in these pics?

apple's cafeterias are all called caffé macs. there used to be only one at infinite loop IL04 but many others have long since spawned in a dozens of apple's offices around the world. caffé employees are apple employees like everyone else, and they crush it everyday.

Apple recruited me from Equinox and my hipster life in Brooklyn. It was 5 weeks from my offer to my first day in Cupertino. 5 weeks during which Apple sold my apartment & upstate cabin, found me a house in menlo park, bought a car, and moved me out.

Jony tried his hand at store design. His vibe at the time was an ascetic minimalism. He designed a subtle logo wall-panel to fit with our existing terrazzo walls. We opened ~8 of them around the same time. Replacement of each "whisper logo" was quietly added to my capex plan.
