Recent album obsession: NEHRUVIANDOOM - NehruvianDOOM It was a mashup between MF Doom and 17 year old Bishop Nehru. In the record MF DOOM became a mentor to Bishop in a lot of the tracks. They heavily edited a few songs and apple music took a whole song of this record. Favorite Song (Caskets) Caksets opens with a sample from a radio ad for Youngblood (1978), a coming of age story of a 15-year-old youth as he gets Mentored in the LA ghettos. It juxtaposes to MF DOOM and Bishop Nehru in New York and serves as a response to the earlier songs So Alone and Darkness The outro is a 2 minute Miles Davis (piano) x Abraham Hicks motivational speech finishes the juxtaposition of MF DOOMs mentorship.
