If the AI takeoff is coming within a decade then what assumptions can we make? > governments and banks will print lots of money to fuel the buildout out of geopolitical necessity = inflation > the cost of goods and services will rapidly fall to cost of inputs depreciation = deflation > central banks will seek to manage these two competing forces but it’s likely there’ll be a huge spike in inflation followed by a period of gradual deflation > scarce inputs will not experience deflation i.e. energy, vital commodities and land > the AI stack will be the most important stocks to own - energy, mining, tech hardware, software distribution > lots of jobs will disappear and welfare will be funded through increasing taxation of assets (not just transactions) to prevent civil unrest > the US and China are the only two empires that matter, pick one. > remigration will go mainstream as cheap labour is no longer needed > democracy will be suspended as armies will be built with robots and not men > 3rd party tax haven jurisdictions (not US or Chinese controlled) will become the go to place for global elites to keep their wealth secure - UAE, Singapore, etc > privacy crypto will become increasingly necessary - Monero > bitcoin > more conflict as the two empires aim to grab resources and strategic land to secure their empires > defence companies are now part of the AI stack - more Andurils and Palantirs > leftists will become anti AI by giving them rights > rw reactionaries will become anti-clanker neo-luddites > fertility will continue to plummet as humans become economically useless > time will start to feel different They’re saying money won’t matter but financial privacy, scarce inputs, and the AI stack will. I don’t think the Anglo-European powers have any idea of what is happening. I think elites are going all in because there is no alternative. Get multiple passports, don’t die, invest as much capital as you can, and get comfortable with uncertainty - the world is going to get weird.

"The battle is now fought financially. Get. Rich." This is good advice, it's going to be a long road ahead, and if you disagree it's cope.
The most important men in 1776 were also some of the wealthiest in the colonies. The founding fathers were not desperate rebels and ingrates but titans of the colonies. Intelligent, driven, Christian, God fearing men. The battle is now fought financially. Get. Rich.

Labour are making plans to rejoin the EU but I doubt it will exist, at least in any recognisable form, by next decade. What a colossal amount of time wasted by our commie bureaucrats. The last decade has been completely squandered by our politicans, what was even achieved?
“As panic spreads among German manufacturers, layoffs are rolling thru formerly prosperous villages with no living memory of a downturn. The moment could become a political turning point for a country whose wealth was largely created by the Mittelstand.” wsj.com/economy/china-is-dev…

This is very cool but I think if you did the same thing in some areas of Paris you’d be surprised.
Using GPS-linked wearable cameras and randomised street audits across 900 kilometres of roads in Greater Mumbai, taking 4000 street images of 23,000 visible individuals, They find that women only account for 16% of visible people in Mumbai and 15% in Navi Mumbai. BRILLIANTLY CLEVER PAPER! 👏 Now do Jaipur and Patna!

If you are a Westerner, regardless of your political commitments or thoughts about technology and markets and progress, you have three choices: A. Let Chinese interests buy research and IP to move to China and scale up and offer back to your consumers at prices that are extremely low, helping their bottom line, but crushing your native industries in those areas B. Forbid that either at the level of tech transfer, outsourcing, or IP sale to begin with, or, imposing huge tariffs on Chinese goods such that their scale advantages don’t apply C. Some combination of A and B, while tearing out regulations that impede, and providing subsidies that accelerate, your domestic industries acquiring the same or comparable scale advantages as Chinese firms
As I see it, the real problem for Germany is that if the Mittelstand is destroyed, such a dense and complex network will be almost impossible to rebuild. wsj.com/economy/china-is-dev…

The rape gangs are still a thing and the police are still complicit btw
Off camera I spoke to one of the younger girls who was tiny and asked why she was here today and why was she hanging around with these older Kurdish migrants. She told me “she gets free sniff off them” sometimes and they’re fun to hang round with. Turns out she’s only 15. She also told me she is classed as missing as she has absconded from her care home 3 days ago and the police are looking for her. With her being a vulnerable missing child and I was worried for her safety The police were called by myself who promptly found her and presumably took her back to her residence. The police didn’t speak to the large gang of migrants she was hanging round with, they did not even acknowledge them. I prey this girl does not go back to these guys.

After being harassed for weeks and thinking she’s being stalked Fiona ordered a takeaway last night and one of these harassing accounts commented ‘did you enjoy the burger and chips?’ Her house has been previously arson attacked, these are the people we’re releasing from prison
The reality of how much of a dangerous situation me and my family are in really hit me this morning. I woke up in agony in my kidney and had to ring and ambulance. While dealing with that (had to have gas and air, the pain was so bad) I glanced at my phone and saw a comment from a fake account that has been giving me abuse online for weeks (including defending my abusers and accusing me of making everything up) asking if "i liked my burger and chips". Now this comment alone would not normally be concerning but, the fact that we did actually have burger and chips delivered late last night confirmed what I had been fearing. Me, my family and my house are already being watched. We are already working on moving ASAP but it is clear we need to get out as soon as possible. The fear i had this morning having to leave my kids to be taken to hospital in an ambulance while I know horrible violent gangs of men are stalking my house has broken me. We should not have to live like this because of my abusers being released after a fraction of their sentence. All it has done is ebouldened them because in reality, they have git away with what they did to me as a child, again, thanks to the very people that are supposed to protect me. I have been reporting this escalation since febuary now and not been taken seriously and its now at the point where we are being watch and stalked and are in immediate danger. I have had so much help already this last week to tey get moved but we are still struggling to get out as quickly as we need because we are not financially in a position to deal with this. I was supposed to have years yet to prepare for this, that has now changed to weeks. To help please consider donating through my links. A go fund me is in the process of being made aswell. Victims of grooming gangs around the country are having to deal with the consequences of the new sentencing act and are all in extreme danger. Kier starmer needs to change his plans on early release of child rapists immediately because people are going to get harmed or even dies and he will have our blood on his hands. And West yorkshire police and other police services around the country need to start taking these issues seriously. These are dangerous men. We deserve to be safe. We were not protected as children, the least they can do is protect us as adults and protect our children from these dangerous men. Please help me get out of here before anything happens. Right now I do not even feel safe in my own home. I spend all night listening and waiting for someone to come and ever day things are getting worse. My physical health is now facing the brunt of it and im not sure how much more I can take buymeacoffee.com/fionagoddar… paypal.me/Fionagoddard361

Oh look another person who pays disproportionately into the system looking to leave. We’re going to tax ourselves to death.
As someone who has paid 7 figures in CGT over the last 3-4 years, I will be leaving before the autumn budget if I can get my affairs in order. Which is touch and go as I didn’t expect gains taxes to be raised for a 2nd time under this labour govt and a new PM coming in without a mandate to do so I have made my money in crypto which effectively amounts to winning in international markets, then bringing that money into the UK where I pay my taxes and spend the remainder within the economy (incurring further taxes as I do so). To equalise CGT with income makes trading crypto nigh-on impossible in this country from a risk/reward perspective given its insane volatility. To take after tax income, and chuck it into the crypto markets where you can easily eviscerate your money and then have to pay nearly half in tax if you are to come away unscathed in the end is just implausible so I and many others will not bother doing so in this country again. I’m sure we’re a very small piece of the overall picture anyway but it’s still going to be yet more lost revenue from net contributors nonetheless

Instead of blaming all our problems on the top 1% it could be an interesting idea to praise them for paying for everyone’s welfare.
It should be a badge of honour to be a top tax payer with garden party at Buckingham palace etc. Everyone should earn points for the amount of tax paid that can be exchanged for perks. For example the top 0.1% should be allowed to drive in bus lanes or get a tank named after them
