PET SAFETY - Be sure to keep your four-legged friends safe. Texas heat can turn deadly fast, and even that “quick stop” can put your pet at risk. Never leave them behind in a car unattended. 🚫 #RoadTripSafety#TxDOTTipThursdays#SummerTravel#PetSafety
Storms can turn a road trip dangerous in seconds, so be prepared. Severe weather can hit fast with rain, flooding, high winds, or hail, so slow down, increase following distance, turn on headlights, and never drive through flooded roads. If conditions worsen, pull over safely and wait it out, and don’t shelter under bridges. Drive like a Texan—kind, courteous, and safe. #TxDOTTipThursdays#SummerSafety#RoadTripReady#DriveSafe
