Yesterday morning on the way to summer school another driver ran a red light and t-boned the car my husband was driving with his 5 year old son in the back. I was able to get to the scene immediately and the image of my stepson trapped in the back seat covered in blood will be etched in my mind forever. The kid suffered a few broken bones, cuts and bruises but most of all is just scared and processing the whole situation as his side of the car took the brunt of the collision. There’s a long road to recovery ahead of us but overall it could’ve been so much worse and I’m so thankful the two most important people in my life are still here today. So please drive safe when you’re on the roads this weekend 🩷
