I get the decision to go in house with your affiliate program, I’ve been really focused on working with app devs on that. I focused on making Affilitrak able to run alongside Mantle without requiring migration so people can try it and mention if there’s anything they need For example I’ve added an api, staff accounts, and tiered commissions. I’ve been adding feature requests quickly for a while with Affilitrak for merchants (many reviews mention me adding a feature for them), if you give me the chance to show you I can add all your unique requirements as fast or faster than your team, I promise won’t let you down. (Note affilitrak is completely free as would be the custom dev stuff so it could allow your team to have time to work on other stuff, especially if they start with the other mantle migration items)

My two boys love LEGO and are always browsing for the next sets on their wishlist. As a good dad and Shopify developer, that felt like the perfect excuse to explore the Shopify UCP Catalog API. So I built Brickfinder: bricks.stormdevs.com

I think the pity and mockery stems from so many Europeans (usually institutions/"experts") dismissing AC's utility. The vast majority of the debate is not over the mechanics and logistics of deployment, but whether widespread AC is in principle desirable in the first place. I think it garners so much attention from Americans (and Europeans such as myself) because it's a vivid distillation of the self-destructive "degrowth" hysteria that is so prevalent and harmful in many European policy matters. It is the same impulse that led to Germany decommissioning its nuclear capacity, and it is a substantial contributor to the broader economic challenges of the continent.

I don’t see the benefit to this to be honest, you’re just forcing teenagers to be more discreet on the internet and creating a more dangerous environment for them. They’re not going to just stop using social media, they’re being disconnected from a huge part of everyday society. It should be up to the parents to control their internet access not the government 🥸

I'm getting tired of Shopify's broken review system. I launched a new app. It's very niche, with only two competitors, and mine is free for the time being. A merchant left a review after not having used my app. They don't reply to emails, and the phone number listed on their website is fake and associated with a random person who doesn't even know their number is listed there. Two minutes... How is someone even eligible to leave a review or rating after two minutes? @tobi @harleyf @liam_at_shopify can we please get some good news here? Various issues (fake 5-star reviews, reviews not related to the app, competition buying fake 1-star reviews) have been mentioned a lot over the past few weeks, and I still don't see any official statement from Shopify. I think many app developers are more than willing to jump on a call and share their experience and ideas on how to improve the system.
